James Cox

James Cox may refer to:

James Storm

James Allen Cox (born June 1, 1977), best known under the ring name James Storm, is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), where he worked continuously for the promotion since its first broadcast in June 2002.

During his time with TNA, Storm has won 15 total championships being a one-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion, a record seven-time NWA World Tag Team Champion as a member of America's Most Wanted with "Wildcat" Chris Harris and a record seven-time TNA World Tag Team Champion five as a member of Beer Money, Inc. with Robert/Bobby Roode and once each with Abyss and Gunner.

Early life

James Cox was an amateur wrestler while in high school. In addition, he was a talented basketball player, and was awarded a scholarship to Austin Peay State University (which he was forced to relinquish after injuring his shoulder).

Professional wrestling career

Early career (1997–2000)

Cox's professional wrestling career began when he was trained by Wolfie D, a veteran tag team wrestler, in 1995. His training was hampered by a broken shoulder, and Cox eventually dropped out of Slash's training school. He resumed training with Shane Morton after his shoulder had healed.

James Cox (journalist)

James Cox is a British journalist and broadcaster who had a wide ranging career in newspapers and in broadcasting in Scotland.

After a spell with the Daily Record newspaper in Glasgow he worked on Public Account with Donald MacCormick and Andrew Neil and presented Good Morning Scotland on BBC Radio Scotland for many years.

He became the BBC's North America Correspondent based in New York in the 1980s before returning to London as a BBC political correspondent at Westminster and then joining Newsnight on BBC2.

From 1994 he was presenter of The World This Weekend on BBC Radio 4.
