Jam!

Jam! is a Canadian website, which covers entertainment news. It is part of the CANOE online portal, owned and operated by Quebecor through its Sun Media division.

Jam! is currently the only media outlet that publishes a comprehensive collection of the official Canadian record charts as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems.

CKXT-TV, Sun Media's television station in Toronto, aired a nightly entertainment magazine series, Inside Jam!. However, due to low ratings the program's airtime was reduced substantially. Effective March 24, 2006, the show went from a daily program to a weekend only show, before later being removed from the schedule altogether. One of the hosts of the show, Chris Van Vliet, announced on the programme in February 2010 that he would be leaving the show to join the CBS affiliate in Cleveland as their entertainment reporter. His co-host Tara Slone re-located in August 2010 to Calgary to become co-host of Breakfast Television on CityTV Calgary.

Standard Test and Programming Language

JAM / STAPL ("Standard Test and Programming Language") is an Altera-developed standard for JTAG in-circuit programming of programmable logic devices which is defined by JEDEC standard JESD-71.

STAPL defines a standard .jam file format which supports in-system programmability or configuration of programmable devices. A JTAG device programmer implements a JAM player which reads the file as a set of instructions directing it to programme a PLD.

The standard is supported by multiple PLD and device programmer manufacturers.

Epistle of James

The Epistle of James (Ancient Greek: Ἰάκωβος Iakōbos), the Book of James, or simply James, is one of the twenty-two epistles (didactic letters) in the New Testament.

The author identifies himself as "James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ," who is writing to "the twelve tribes scattered abroad" (James 1:1). The epistle is traditionally attributed to James the Just, and the audience is generally considered to be Jewish Christians who were dispersed outside of Palestine due to persecution.

Framed within an overall theme of patient perseverance during trials and temptations, James writes to encourage believers to live consistently with what they have learned in Christ. He desires for his readers to mature in their faith in Christ by living what they say they believe. James condemns various sins including pride, hypocrisy, favoritism, and slander. James encourages believers to humbly live Godly wisdom rather than worldly wisdom, and to pray in all situations.

Bunny (webcomic)

Bunny is a daily webcomic by Lem (b. 1984-03-20), the pseudonym of a Welsh artist named Huw Davies. Launched in August 2004, Bunny follows the gag-a-day formula, with no true plotline. The subject matter of Bunny varies widely (with topics ranging from popular Internet culture, to current events to rabbit ninjas), but usually portrays the pink bunny protagonist's uncomplicated take on a given situation. Starting with Strip #862 on 2007-03-31 the comic changed from its long rectangular format to a taller and narrower horizontal rectangular format. The shape of the panels currently vary.

In February 2007 Bunny was placed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 license.

Starting on 2007-12-24 with strip #1067, tooltip (better known as title text) became a part of most comics.

Despite the overall randomness of the strips, Bunny often involves things which may be deemed as relevant and informative. Indeed, one of the things the strip does is point out inaccuracies, irony, and hypocrisy in certain events and figures.

Grouches

The Grouches are a race of creatures in Sesame Street.

Background

Grouches are an eccentric race of pessimistic, argumentative, unhygienic furry creatures who prefer to live wherever trash can be found: trash cans, city dumps, even the occasional landfill (although, some Grouches live in crummy houses, broken cars, and some live in "yucky beautiful houses"). Grouches are a distinct species from the Sesame Street Monsters (including the AM Monsters).

Being as grouchy and miserable as they possibly can be is any Grouch's main mission in life. They also feel that they have to make everyone else feel the same way. Even though that makes them happy, however, a Grouch will never admit to being happy no matter what the circumstances.

Grouches like anything dirty or dingy or dusty, anything ragged or rotten or rusty or trashy. They will only buy appliances that don't work, they normally keep elephants, worms pigs, goats, and donkeys as pets, eat undesirable foods (particularly sardines), sing out-of-tune, play radios at the highest volume, and bathe in mud as they all love not being clean. Grouches also like to use phrases such as "scram", "get lost", "go away", and "beat it".

Bunny (comics)

Bunny Ball is a comic book character whose creator is unknown. The Bunny series was published by Harvey Comics from 1966 to 1976; the series contained 21 issues, of which the final two were printed in 1971 and 1976.

Within the context of the stories, Bunny is an international model and actress. The character has a younger sister named Honey and a rival named Esmeralda, or Esmy.
