Jam!

Jam! is a Canadian website, which covers entertainment news. It is part of the CANOE online portal, owned and operated by Quebecor through its Sun Media division.

Jam! is currently the only media outlet that publishes a comprehensive collection of the official Canadian record charts as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems.

CKXT-TV, Sun Media's television station in Toronto, aired a nightly entertainment magazine series, Inside Jam!. However, due to low ratings the program's airtime was reduced substantially. Effective March 24, 2006, the show went from a daily program to a weekend only show, before later being removed from the schedule altogether. One of the hosts of the show, Chris Van Vliet, announced on the programme in February 2010 that he would be leaving the show to join the CBS affiliate in Cleveland as their entertainment reporter. His co-host Tara Slone re-located in August 2010 to Calgary to become co-host of Breakfast Television on CityTV Calgary.

Standard Test and Programming Language

JAM / STAPL ("Standard Test and Programming Language") is an Altera-developed standard for JTAG in-circuit programming of programmable logic devices which is defined by JEDEC standard JESD-71.

STAPL defines a standard .jam file format which supports in-system programmability or configuration of programmable devices. A JTAG device programmer implements a JAM player which reads the file as a set of instructions directing it to programme a PLD.

The standard is supported by multiple PLD and device programmer manufacturers.

Epistle of James

The Epistle of James (Ancient Greek: Ἰάκωβος Iakōbos), the Book of James, or simply James, is one of the twenty-two epistles (didactic letters) in the New Testament.

The author identifies himself as "James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ," who is writing to "the twelve tribes scattered abroad" (James 1:1). The epistle is traditionally attributed to James the Just, and the audience is generally considered to be Jewish Christians who were dispersed outside of Palestine due to persecution.

Framed within an overall theme of patient perseverance during trials and temptations, James writes to encourage believers to live consistently with what they have learned in Christ. He desires for his readers to mature in their faith in Christ by living what they say they believe. James condemns various sins including pride, hypocrisy, favoritism, and slander. James encourages believers to humbly live Godly wisdom rather than worldly wisdom, and to pray in all situations.

Amen. is a 2002 German, Romanian and French film directed by Costa-Gavras.

Plot

The film Amen. examines the links between the Vatican and Nazi Germany. The central character is Kurt Gerstein (Ulrich Tukur), a Waffen-SS officer employed in the SS Hygiene Institute, designing programs for the purification of water and the destruction of vermin. He is shocked to learn that the process he has developed to eradicate typhus, by using a hydrogen cyanide mixture called Zyklon B, is now being used for killing Jews in extermination camps. Gerstein attempts to notify Pope Pius XII (Marcel Iureş) about the gassings, but is appalled by the lack of response he gets from the Catholic hierarchy. The only person moved is Riccardo Fontana (Mathieu Kassovitz), a young Jesuit priest. Fontana and Gerstein attempt to raise awareness about what is happening to the Jews in Europe but even after Fontana appealing to the pope himself, the Vatican makes only a timid and vague condemnation of Hitler and Nazi Germany.

Amen (Edens Edge song)

"Amen" is a song written by Skip Black, Hannah Blaylock, Catt Gravitt and Gerald O'Brien, and recorded by American country music group Edens Edge and released as the first single from their self-titled debut album for Big Machine Records in March 2011.

Critical reception

Matt Bjorke of Roughstock gave the song three and a half stars out of five, calling it an "immediately likable song with a simple yet memorable chorus and a classic-sounding country melody and vocal." Kevin John Coyne of Country Universe gave the song a B+, writing that the vocals "complement the music nicely, and don’t get in the way of telling the story."

Music video

The music video was directed by Roman White and premiered in May 2011.

Chart performance

"Amen" debuted at number 60 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for the week of April 9, 2011. It also debuted at number 99 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week of December 24, 2011.

Amen (Kid Rock song)

"Amen" is the second single from American singer Kid Rock's album Rock n Roll Jesus. Kid Rock says that this is the greatest song he has ever written. The acoustic guitar intro samples the Bob Seger song "You'll Accomp'ny Me". It is an acoustic arranged song that touches on such subjects as poverty, war, race relations, corrupt politicians and hypocritical pastors. The song features the gospel choir, The Fisk Jubilee Singers. It was released to radio November 5, 2007. It peaked at #11 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and #27 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. Photographer David Tunnley, who has a Pulitzer Prize to his credit, directed the music video.

Music video

There were two music videos made; the first one was done by a fan, Robert Hamilton (also known as ChicagoTransAm on YouTube) and he was then asked by the producers from RefusedTV/SargantHouse for input on the final video. Contrary to popular belief, there was only one official video ever produced. The earlier was just a concept from Hamilton which was then used as the general statement the official video would portray.
