Jalesar is a town and a municipal board in Etah district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is connected by road to other towns such as Hathras, Etah, Aligarh and it is approx 53 km from Agra.
Jalesar is located at 27°29′N 78°19′E / 27.48°N 78.32°E / 27.48; 78.32. It has an average elevation of 173 metres (567 feet). Jalesar is connected to major towns of Uttar Pradesh like Aligarh, Hathras, Agra, Etah and Firozabad by road. Road connectivity from Delhi has been improved by formation of Taj Express way which connects Jalesar via Tappal and Aligarh on one hand, and on the other hand, is connected via Raya, Mursan and Hathras to Taj Expressway. Rail Connectivity exists from Jalesar town to Tundla and Etah however to connect to Rail network, Residents have to travel to nearby station Jalesar Road or Hathras Junctions which are 14 km and 24 km respectively. This network helps to travel from Allahabad to Delhi via 3 trains, Mahananda Express, Muri Express and HAD/TAD passenger. Road conditions are a bit shaky however connectivity via Agra and Hathras are better.

Jalesar Assembly constituency (Hindi: जलेसर विधान सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is one of the 403 constituencies of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, India. It is a part of the Etah district and one of the five assembly constituencies in the Agra (Lok Sabha constituency). First election in this assembly constituency was held in 1957 after the "DPACO (1956)" (delimitation order) was passed in 1956. After the "Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order" was passed in 2008, the constituency was assigned identification number 106.
