A frenulum piercing is a type of body piercing located on the underside of the shaft of the penis. A series of parallel frenulum piercings is known as a frenum ladder. A frenum ladder may be extended to include lorum piercings, hafada piercings and guiche piercings.
Frenum piercings are almost always pierced perpendicular to the shaft of the penis. They may be pierced through the frenum that connects the head of the penis to the shaft, or anywhere further down the shaft of the penis. Less commonly, frenum piercings may be pierced along the top or even the sides of the shaft of the penis. The Frenum piercing is the 2nd most popular to the Prince Albert(PA) piercing.
Frenum piercings generally require from two to five weeks to heal fully. Depending on the placement it may be a surface piercing, but due to both the vascular, fast healing nature of the penis, and loose nature of the skin in that area, frenum piercings rarely reject if pierced properly, although they may migrate.
A Jacob's ladder is a folk toy consisting of blocks of wood held together by strings or ribbons. The Jacob's Ladder folk toy, also known as 'tumbling blocks' dates back to the Pilgrim times in America. When the ladder is held at one end, blocks appear to cascade down the strings. However, this effect is a visual illusion which is the result of one block after another flipping over. Its name Jacob's Ladder comes from the biblical ladder to heaven, mentioned in Genesis 28:12. Because of the Biblical reference, Puritan children were allowed to use the Jacob's Ladder as a Sunday toy.
The earliest known review of the Jacob's Ladder is an 1889 Scientific American article which tells how it is built and works. Despite the urban myths prevalent on the internet, there is no known documentation dating it to Tutankhamun's tomb or ancient Egypt or to the Pilgrims. It has been theorized that its origin is from a Chinese falling-block toy, called "Chinese blocks".
The Japanese polymath Hiraga Gennai (1729–1779) constructed a Jacob's ladder which later came to be called "Gennai's Wondrous Click-clack" (Gennai no fushigina katakata, 源内の不思議なカタカタ).
In mathematics, Jacob's ladder is a surface with infinite genus and two ends. It was named after Jacob's ladder by Étienne Ghys (1995, Théorème A), because the surface can be constructed as the boundary of a ladder that is infinitely long in both directions.
Jacob (later given the name Israel) is regarded as a Patriarch of the Israelites. According to the Book of Genesis, Jacob (/ˈdʒeɪkəb/; Hebrew: יַעֲקֹב Standard Yaʿakov) was the third Hebrew progenitor with whom God made a covenant. He is the son of Isaac and Rebecca, the grandson of Abraham, Sarah and of Bethuel, and the younger twin brother of Esau. Jacob had twelve sons and at least one daughter, by his two wives, Leah and Rachel, and by their handmaidens Bilhah and Zilpah.
Jacob's twelve sons, named in Genesis, were Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin. His only daughter mentioned in Genesis is Dinah. The twelve sons became the progenitors of the "Tribes of Israel".
As a result of a severe drought in Canaan, Jacob and his sons moved to Egypt at the time when his son Joseph was viceroy. After 17 years in Egypt, Jacob died and Joseph carried Jacob's remains to the land of Canaan, and gave him a stately burial in the same Cave of Machpelah as were buried Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebecca, and Jacob's first wife, Leah.

Jacob (formally known as Boutique Jacob, Inc) is a private five store Canadian chain of women's and girls' clothing store chain based out of Montreal, Quebec. At its peak, Jacob once had over 200 stores all over Canada, usually in malls. In addition to its main brand Jacob, the company operated under the banners Jacob Connexion, Jacob Lingerie, Josef and Danz.
The company was founded in 1977 by its current president Jacob Basmaji. The original store opened in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec and still operates. The first store outside of Quebec was opened in Toronto in 1985. Jacob opened its first US store (in Cambridge, Massachusetts) circa 2000.
Jacob's flagship store is at the corner of Sainte-Catherine and Drummond streets in downtown Montreal.
Stores were shuttered in 2014 and online site ceased operating in 2015. In April 2015 the online site has been restarted offering only their fragrance and plans to open a few stores in Quebec only. Jacob emerged from bankruptcy and will now be operating six stores chainwide, all of which are located in the province of Quebec. Among these five stores is the original 1977 Sorel store and another store in Old Quebec. The other three are all located in Montreal (which includes, among others, the downtown flagship store and another one at Galeries d'Anjou).
Jacob's is a brand name for several lines of biscuits and crackers in Ireland and the United Kingdom. The brand name in Ireland is owned by Jacob Fruitfield Food Group, part of the Valeo Foods Group, and in the UK it is owned under licence by United Biscuits.
The originator of the Jacob's brand name was the small biscuit bakery, W & R Jacob, founded in 1851 in Bridge Street, Waterford, Ireland by William Beale Jacob and his brother Robert. It later moved to Bishop Street in Dublin, Ireland, with a factory in Peter's Row. A factory in Liverpool was opened in 1914. The Bishop Street premises was one of several prominent Dublin buildings occupied by rebels during the Easter Rising of 1916. In 1922 a separate English company was formed, W & R Jacob (L'pool) Ltd. The two branches separated, with the Dublin branch retaining the W & R Jacob name while the Liverpool branch was renamed Jacob's Bakery Ltd. In the 1970s, W & R Jacob in Dublin merged with Boland's Biscuits to form Irish Biscuits Ltd. and moved to Tallaght, Ireland. The Liverpool factory joined Associated Biscuits in 1960, which was purchased by Nabisco in 1982.
Jacob was a dirt poor farm boy
Raised at the fork in the road in a clapboard house
And Rachael was a land baron's daughter
Born with a silver spoon in her mouth
Her daddy said, he wouldn't stand
Rachael to waste her life with a common man
He tried hard to keep them apart
But you can't draw lines in a young girl's heart
So late one night by the harvest moon
Jacob climbed a ladder up to Rachael's room
He knew his place, it was right beside her
Step by step, up to her world
Head over heels for a brown-eyed girl
And gettin' caught didn't seem to matter
'Cause Heaven was waitin' at the top of Jacob's ladder
It'll be five years, September
Since her daddy found a ladder and a note on her windowsill
Swore he'd never forgive them
Nothin' melts a heart like a grandchild will
Now she climbs up on his knee
Says, "Grandpa, tell a story, the one about me"
He thinks back and his eyes shine
Says, "Listen child, once upon a time"
Late one night by the harvest moon
Your daddy climbed a ladder to your mama's room
He knew his place, it was right beside her
Step by step, up to her world
Head over heels for my little girl
And here you are, that's all that matters
'Cause Heaven was waitin' at the top of Jacob's ladder
