Jacky Vincent (born 23 January 1989 in Portsmouth, England) is an English musician who was the lead guitarist and backing vocalist of the American post-hardcore band Falling in Reverse from its formation until his departure in 2015. Vincent has one solo album released titled "Star X Speed Story". The album was released in 2013 through Shrapnel Records. In 2016, Vincent formed the band Cry Venom.

Career

Early years

Falling In Reverse's former bass player, Nason Schoeffler, discovered Vincent through MySpace in early 2008, Jacky was then asked to join. Vincent is an original member of the band. Besides his work with Falling in Reverse he has also released a solo album called "Star X Speed Story" under Shrapnel Records. The 13 tracks long album is composed by himself and features a few other guitarists as well as a few of his band members. Vincent was inspired by guitarists such as Paul Gilbert, Michael Angelo Batio, Jason Becker, Vinnie Moore, Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai.

Over the Hedge is a syndicated comic strip written and drawn by Michael Fry and T. Lewis. It tells the story of a raccoon, turtle, a squirrel, and their friends who come to terms with their woodlands being taken over by suburbia, trying to survive the increasing flow of humanity and technology while becoming enticed by it at the same time. The strip debuted in June 1995.

A raccoon con artist, RJ takes pride in being extremely lazy. He apparently envisions himself as an intellectual; however, his "facts" are obviously false. He loves to ransack human homes, as well as watch them and their televisions through the windows. While he enjoys commenting on human life, most of his statements are false as well, although he has studied humans and knows their ways of getting food, and even has slightly imprinted on them. He was shown to care for Clara even before she was born, (after he learned that babies can hear some things outside of the mother from Verne) by reading The Hunchback of Notre Dame and singing a horrible version of "Stairway to Heaven". He is sometimes shown without a brain, using his brain cavity to store his "hanky", and breath mints. He is shown to have the ability to expand to fit a massive amount of food, and is known as "that horrible raccoon kid" on Halloween. He claimed in one strip that he is an immortal god, and once "confessed" to Verne for "lighting the fuse" to the Big Bang, which he explained was because "The matches were right there, and the sign said "Don't light this fuse!!!", so...". He also said that the universe "will have to reschedule the time when the Sun will burn out", as he has "a tail rinse that day".

List of Lost characters

The characters from the American drama/adventure television series Lost were created by Damon Lindelof and J. J. Abrams. The series follows the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island, after a commercial passenger jet from the fictional Oceanic Airlines crashes somewhere in the South Pacific. Jacky (Jacques Brel song)

"Jacky" (La chanson de Jacky) (Translation: The song of Jacky) is a song written by the Belgian singer-songwriter Jacques Brel and Gérard Jouannest. Brel recorded the song on 2 November 1965, and it was released on his 1966 album Ces Gens-Là. The song was translated from French into English and retitled "Jackie".

The song has been covered a number of times particularly in Europe. In the United States, the song's popularity grew through its appearance (as "Jackie") in the score of the off-Broadway revue Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, which opened on January 22, 1968.

Scott Walker

"Jackie" was later recorded and released by the American singer-songwriter Scott Walker as his first solo single in 1967. Walker recorded the Mort Shuman translation. The accompaniment was directed by Wally Stott.

The single met with controversy in the UK likely because of lyrics like "authentic queers and phony virgins" and drug references. The song was banned by the BBC and was not performed on the corporation's TV or played on the mainstream radio channels. The song was performed on non-BBC channels most notably on Frankie Howerd's show Howerd's Hour where Walker danced comically during the performance.
