Jackson Pearce
Jackson Pearce (born May 21, 1984) is an American author. Her debut novel, As You Wish, was published by HarperCollins in 2009.
Personal life and education
Pearce was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Brookwood High School and went on to Georgia College & State University before transferring to and graduating from the University of Georgia. Pearce posts humorous online video blogs and manages the author community 2009 Debutantes.
Career
As You Wish
Pearce's debut novel, As You Wish, was published in Fall 2009 by HarperCollins under the HarperTeen imprint. The young-adult urban fantasy book follows high school student Viola Cohen who inadvertently summons, then falls for, a young jinn after her boyfriend tells her a life-changing secret.
Sisters Red
Sisters Red is the second novel by Jackson Pearce and the first in a series of fairy tale-inspired books. The novel follows Scarlet and Rosie March, sisters who have devoted their lives to fighting the Fenris, werewolves that prey on helpless girls. Sisters Red is loosely based on Little Red Riding Hood and borrows several themes from the story. The book was published June, 2010 by Little, Brown and Company in the United States, under the Little, Brown Books for Young Readers imprint. It is also being released by Hodder Children's Books in the UK and Commonwealth Nations.
