JGeek and the Geeks
JGeeks are an New Zealand performance Maori comedy music group best known for their songs "Maori Boy" and "The Best Day I Ever Had", as well as their 2012 appearance as finalists in New Zealand's Got Talent. The group is led by former Disney Channel and C4 television presenter and Cleo Bachelor of the Year finalist, Jermaine Leef.
History
In 2011, TV3 received NZ On Air funding to develop a comedy series titled J Geek vs the World, however this series was not produced.
In 2012, the group entered New Zealand's Got Talent using the shortened name Jgeeks. They won the public vote in their semi-final, and eventually finished in fourth place in the grand final.
In September 2013, the group embarked on a 22-venue tour of New Zealand called the Eggs Factor tour. After playing their first eight shows, the tour was cancelled due to "circumstances outside of our control".

The Cuzzies
The Cuzzies is a Metro-Maori electro craze group formed in 2011 and consists of the current members of JGeeks. They are best known for their 2011 single, "Ghost Chips".
The Victims (Australian band)
The Victims were a punk band from Perth, active from 1977 to 1979. The founding mainstay members were James Baker on drums, Dave Flick (Dave Faulkner) on guitar and vocals, and Rudolph V (Dave Cardwell) on bass guitar. Their debut single, "Television Addict", was issued in April 1978 and was followed by a five-track extended play, The Victims, in August of that year. The group disbanded early in the next year. In 1989 Timberyard Records released a compilation album, All Loud on the Western Front, of their material. In late 2014 and early 2015 Baker and Faulkner were joined by Ray Ahn (of Hard-Ons) as the Television Addicts to perform the Victims material.
History
The Victims were formed in Perth in mid-1977 with James Baker on drums (ex-Beheaded/The Geeks), Dave Flick (real name Dave Faulkner) on guitar and vocals (ex-Beagle Boys) and Rudolph V (real name Dave Cardwell) on bass guitar. Earlier in that year Baker and Cardwell had founded another punk band, the Geeks, with Ross Buncle on guitar and a vocalist, Lloyd. That group folded in May and their original songs formed the core of the Victims' initial repertoire. The group's sound was based on United States punk pioneers, the Flamin' Groovies, the Heartbreakers, New York Dolls, and the Stooges. Australian musicologist, Ian McFarlane, felt that "with their frantic, explosive sound backed by a solid melodic bent, The Victims became the premier punk band on the Perth scene."
The Geeks (band)
The Geeks is an influential hardcore punk band from South Korea. They are one of Korea's first hardcore punk bands and also the nation's first band to introduce youth crew and straight edge hardcore. They are the first Korean hardcore band to tour the US, Japan, and Southeast Asia. Due to their extensive travels and organizing overseas tours in Korea, they are one of Korea's most-disseminated bands, being widely known around the world in their own niche genre.
The Geeks were formed in 1999 by schoolmates Seo Kiseok (vocalist) and Kang Junsung (guitarist), shortly after discovering the existence of Korean punk through the Our Nation compilation put out by Drug Records.
History
Due largely to Seo's time living abroad in America, the band signed to Think Fast! Records and is well known in the international hardcore community. They are also associated with Get Outta Town Records, Townhall Records, and GMC Records. Their connections have opened up many opportunities to tour outside of Korea, rare for Korean bands until very recently. They were the first Korean punk band to successfully tour the United States. They have since toured the US numerous times, and in 2007 they went on a world tour taking them to the US as well as Malaysia and Singapore.
