Greg Miller (animator)

Greg Miller is an American animator, cartoonist and storyboard artist. He worked on the production of Shrek the Third and Monsters vs. Aliens as the additional storyboard artist. He is currently a Storyboard artist, Writer, Animator, and Character Designer on Secret Mountain Fort Awesome, Gravity Falls, and Uncle Grandpa. His art style is based on the animation style of Schoolhouse Rock!, which was used in his own television series, Whatever Happened to... Robot Jones?, aired on Cartoon Network from 2002 to 2003 and his short film, "Wizzard of Krudd", a canceled Nickelodeon short featuring the voice of Devon Workheiser as the protagonist.

2002 Los Angeles Dodgers season

The 2002 season saw Dan Evans take over as General Manager and in his first season the team won 92 games and was not eliminated from post season contention until the next-to-last day of the season, finishing third overall in the Western Division of the National League. Shawn Green hit 42 home runs to become the first L.A. Dodger to have back-to-back 40 or more homer seasons. He had four homers in one game on May 23 against the Milwaukee Brewers. He went 6 for 6 in that game and set a Major League mark for total bases with 19. The number broke the previous record of 18 total bases set by Joe Adcock. Éric Gagné who had been a starter previously became the closer in 2002 and set a club mark with 52 saves. This is also their first season to be broadcast on KCOP (13).

J. Gregory Miller is an American horn player, composer and music arranger.

Early years

J. Greg "JG" Miller was born in Colorado into a non-musical family and grew up in Mohnton, Pennsylvania. He played with the Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra and the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra and graduated from Mifflin High School in Berks County. Miller attended the University of Rochester in pre-med, but changed majors and graduated in music performance and music education from the Eastman School of Music. He completed a Master of Music degree at the University of Arizona and then moved to Los Angeles where he received a doctorate degree in musical arts from the University of Southern California. Important teachers and influences include Daniel Katzen, James Thatcher, Peter Kurau, Kendall Betts and Erwin Chandler.

Career

Miller has performed with a number of ensembles and orchestras, including the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Mariachi Sol de Mexico, the Desert Symphony, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, and the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. He also has recorded in Hollywood studios on several films. In 2012–13, he toured with the British rock band The Who on the Quadrophenia and More tour and played with the band at the 12-12-12: The Concert for Sandy Relief at Madison Square Garden in New York City. While on The Who's Quadrophenia tour, Miller played trumpet, horn, flugelhorn, mellophone, trombone, and euphonium, covering the original work of John Entwistle on the Quadrophenia album.
