It's My Turn is a 1980 romantic comedy-drama film starring Jill Clayburgh, Michael Douglas, and Charles Grodin.
The film was directed by Claudia Weill and written by Eleanor Bergstein. The producers of It's My Turn cut out an erotic dancing scene from Bergstein's screenplay, which sparked her to go on and write a new script that would become the 1987 hit film Dirty Dancing.
The film's title track, played during the final credits—"It's My Turn"—was sung by Diana Ross, with music by Michael Masser and lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager. It was released as a single and became a top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number nine.
Kate Gunzinger is a mathematics professor at a Chicago university. She lives with a man named Homer in a comfortable but not terribly passionate relationship.
Kate travels to New York for a job interview and to attend the wedding of her widowed father. She meets the bride's son, Ben Lewin, a former professional baseball player.
Ben is married, but a relationship develops with Kate. He takes her to Yankee Stadium for an old-timers' day ceremony and eventually they have an affair. When they part, Kate goes back to Chicago and breaks up with Homer, not knowing what the future holds.
"It's My Turn" is a 1980 song used as the theme to the film of the same name. The song, written by Carole Bayer Sager (lyrics) and Michael Masser (music) for Diana Ross, was released as a single and became a top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number nine, and at number 14 on the soul chart. "It's My Turn", likewise, peaked at number nine on the Adult Contemporary chart. The song was used the theme song of Philippine drama anthology Coney Reyes on Camera in 1984.
Aretha Franklin recorded the song for her album Love All the Hurt Away in 1981.

"My Turn" is the first single from Hoobastank's album For(N)ever, released on January 27, 2009. It can be heard on the band's official website.
Doug Robb stated in the blog on Myspace that the official music video for "My Turn" has been completed.
We recently shot the video for the song My Turn with director Paul Brown. Unlike any video we had shot before, and this will be our 12th video, this one is specifically designed to be viewed online instead of only on TV... We then got dressed up in costumes. Football players, cheerleaders, classic "Hoobustank" basketball uniforms, not so "super" heroes, women's clothing, moto gear, wetsuits, whatever we could find. We wore it all and performed in it all....So you might be wondering why we'd have so many people performing the same song. I can sum it up in one word, OPTIONS. When the video goes online you'll have the option to create any version of the video
Best,
Doug Robb
The song was featured as the theme song for the TNA Destination X 2009 PPV.
My Turn: The Memoirs of Nancy Reagan is an autobiography authored by former First Lady of the United States Nancy Reagan. It was published by Random House in 1989.
Reagan recalls her influence within the Reagan administration, her love of her husband, strained relationship with family members, and her bout with breast cancer.
According to Fred Barnes, a former news columnist and current television pundit on Fox News, Reagan's book was a confirmation of many speculated reports about the Reagan White House. Mrs. Reagan argues against the media about her image, saying she was not "as bad, or as extreme in my power or my weakness, as I was depicted." She comments on President Reagan's White House staff frequently: of James Baker, former White House Chief of Staff, she says that "his main interest was Jim Baker"; Michael Deaver, a Reagan adviser for two decades, "caught a bad case of Potomac fever"; William Clark, a Reagan staffer, was a "bad choice" for top positions within the administration and a "user" who unjustly spoke for President Reagan.Donald Regan, former Treasury Secretary and White House Chief of Staff whom often had a contested relationship with Nancy Reagan, was talked about in detail. Mrs. Reagan denied forming a plan to oust him from the staff, saying that there was not "a plot to get rid of Don Regan. There was no cabal. I wasn't in cahoots with anybody to bring about his downfall." On the Cold War front, Mrs. Reagan takes credit for assembling a meeting in Geneva between her husband and Soviet General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev.
