KMC (musician)

Ken Marlon Charles a.k.a. KMC (born January 5, 1971) is a soca artist from Trinidad. Famous for hits like "Soul on Fire", "Soca Bashment" and "Bashment to Carnival" KMC is signed to the US-based record label Sequence Records. Considered to be one of Trinidad's top soca artists, KMC has over sixteen years experience in the music industry. He has made a name for himself as a solo artist, songwriter, producer and frontman of the band Red, White & Black.

Early years

KMC is one of nine children. He was born and raised in the village of Rio Claro and then moved to Chaguanas, where he has resided for the past eleven years. The road to success for KMC has been filled with both high and low moments. Probably the lowest was the day when, strapped with hunger, he resorted to cracking open a dry coconut in the yard of his one-room home in Laventille, putting a milk pan on a kerosene burner and flavoring the coconut with only a little end of curry powder.

Career

KMC always had a passion for music. As a young child he used to sneak about and listen to the bands in his village. "At the age of seven, I used to go under the house by the band and when they weren't around I would play the drum set." As time marched on, the same energy and precociousness that brought the young KMC to the drum set also brought him to teach himself how to play music. "Music is something I was never taught. I was never taught to play the keyboard. I learned to do everything on my own. Love is what made me master it. Everything I do is by ear and not by reading," he proclaims.

Innocence

Innocence (or guiltlessness) is a term used to indicate a lack of guilt, with respect to any kind of crime, or wrongdoing. In a legal context, innocence refers to the lack of legal guilt of an individual, with respect to a crime.

In relation to knowledge

Innocence can also imply lesser experience in either a relative view to social peers, or by an absolute comparison to a more common normative scale. In contrast to ignorance, it is generally viewed as a positive term, connoting an optimistic view of the world, in particular one where the lack of knowledge stems from a lack of wrongdoing, whereas greater knowledge comes from doing wrong. This connotation may be connected with a popular false etymology explaining "innocent" as meaning "not knowing" (Latin noscere (To know, learn)). The actual etymology is from general negation prefix in- and the Latin nocere, "evil" or "guilty".

People who lack the mental capacity to understand the nature of their acts may be regarded as innocent regardless of their behavior. From this meaning comes the term innocent to refer to a child under the age of reason, or a person, of any age, who is severely mentally disabled.

Innocent (Rainbow album)

Innocent is the third Korean mini-album by South Korean girl group Rainbow. The album was released in South Korea on February 25, 2015 with "Black Swan" as the lead single. Also, this the first comeback after a year and eight month of hiatus since 2013's album Rainbow Syndrome.

Background

On February 11, Rainbow has revealed their image teaser with the concept that "Elegant". Then on February 15, the group teaser a style film about their album. In the clip, each member is outfitted in a unique all white dress shedding their girl-next-door image for a more mature tone. As previously noted, the girls are taking on a luxurious vibe this time. The video gives off a sultry, feminine aura that is very elegant. The full music video of lead track "Black Swan" was released on February 23.

Promotions

Rainbow began their promotion from Mnet's M! Countdown on February 26, then continue with various music show.

However, according to DSP Media on March 11 through Rainbow‘s fan café, Rainbow is wrapping up their “Black Swan” promotions after just two weeks. The agency said: “With last week’s music show, [Rainbow’s] ‘Black Swan’ promotions have come to an end. Many thanks to all the fans who supported Rainbow’s third mini album, and we’ll work hard to return new and improved. Thank you.”'
The songs was unable to gave a spot in the top 100 and failed to garner significant interest, resulting in the early termination of promotions.

Innocent (Mike Oldfield song)

"Innocent" is a single by British musician Mike Oldfield, released in 1989. It is from the album Earth Moving and features vocals from Anita Hegerland.

Inspiration

According to an interview Mike Oldfield and Anita Hegerland gave in the TV-program Good Morning Britain, the song was inspired by their young daughter Greta; who also appears in the music video. In the program the Oldfield and Hegerland gave an acoustic version of the song, Hegerland singing and Oldfield playing the guitar.

The music video features an Atari ST computer, a Korg M1 synthesiser and a Fender Stratocaster guitar and is available on the Elements – The Best of Mike Oldfield video. There is also a second part animated part live action video in existence.

The band was a four-piece, consisting of Graham Bilbrough (vocals), twins Keith (guitar) and Tim Atack (drums) and Mike Mckenzie (bass guitar).
