"In the End" is a song by American rock band Linkin Park, from their debut album Hybrid Theory (2000). The song was released on October 9, 2001 as the album's fourth and final single. "In the End" is one of Linkin Park's most recognizable and signature songs. It is the second most played song in all of the band's live performances, after "One Step Closer".

"In the End" received positive reviews by music critics, with most reviewers complimenting the song's signature piano riff, as well as noting rapper Mike Shinoda's vocal prominence in the song. "In the End" also achieved mainstream popularity, and was a commercial success upon release. The song reached the top ten of numerous worldwide music charts and reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, the band's highest peak on the chart, as well as their first song that peaked within the Top 40. It also reached number one on the Z100 Top 100 songs of 2002 countdown. This song also ranked at #121 in Blender magazine's The 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born. The song is Billboard's second most played rock song of the decade. It was also remixed on Reanimation as "Enth E ND". The music video of the song, directed by Nathan Cox and the band's turntablist Joe Hahn, featured the band in a fantasy setting.

Fly by Night (album)

Fly by Night is the second studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released in February 1975. Contrary to their previous album, which featured a much more hard rock sound, this album was the first to showcase the progressive rock sound that the band has become renowned for. This release was also the first to feature long-time drummer Neil Peart.

Music and lyrics

After the departure of John Rutsey, who retired from the band due to diabetes and dislike of touring, the band recruited Neil Peart as his replacement. As such, this album marks Neil Peart's first recording with the band. Peart also became the band's main lyricist, leading the band to adopt a more literary lyrical style that differed significantly from their self-titled debut album. The songs "By-Tor & the Snow Dog" and "Rivendell" are examples of the inclusion of fantasy themes into Rush's music. The line-up of Peart, bassist and singer Geddy Lee, and guitarist Alex Lifeson has remained the same ever since.

"By-Tor & the Snow Dog" was inspired by Rush roadie Howard Ungerleider's story of him staying at Anthem records manager Ray Danniels's house, where Danniels's German Shepherd growled at him, and a tiny dog also owned by Danniels tried to jump on him. Ungerleider told the band members about the incident, which they found hilarious.

In the End (Black Veil Brides song)

"In the End" is a song by American rock band Black Veil Brides, from their third studio album, Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones. The song was released on October 31, 2012 as the first single from Wretched and Divine, and is Black Veil Brides' sixth single. It was released on the same date as the availability for pre-order purchases for the entire album. The song peaked at number 39 on the Billboard Rock Songs chart and remained on the charts for two weeks. "In the End" was featured as a bonus track on the compilation album Now That's What I Call Music! 45. It was also one of the two themes for the 2012 WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event. The song also appears in the video game Guitar Hero Live. The band received Revolver's 2013 Golden Gods Award for Best New Song for "In the End." The song was written after the death of Black Veil Brides' lead vocalist Andy Biersack's grandfather.

Music video

Black Veil Brides released a music video for the song through YouTube on December 12, 2012. The music video features the band playing in different places that were used in their feature film, "Legion of the Black". Andy Biersack described the video as "a trailer" to the movie. The band plays on a salt lake bed, a church, and an abandoned oil factory, the video has now reached a total of 40 million views and 400,000 likes.

Unfair: The End

Unfair: The End (アンフェア　the end) is a 2015 Japanese police drama thriller film based on the Japanese television drama series Unfair. It follows two other films based on the series, Unfair: The Movie (2007) and Unfair 2: The Answer (2011). The film is directed by Shimako Satō, who also directed the previous film, with Ryoko Shinohara reprising her role from the series and films. It was released on September 5, 2015.

Box office

The film was number-one at the Japanese box office on its opening weekend by number of admissions, with 214,000, and was second place by gross renevue, with ¥295 million. On its second weekend it earned ¥191 million and again placed second by gross revenue. By September 29, it had earned ¥1.79 billion.

KHTB (101.9 FM) is a Salt Lake City, Utah-based radio station. The station's studios are located in South Salt Lake (behind the I-15/I-80 interchange) and its transmitter site is located southwest of the city on Farnsworth Peak in the Oquirrh Mountains.

History of KKAT

In 1995, KKAT licensed "Young Country" from Alliance Broadcasting. It was the first country station to intentionally go after young listeners. Also that year, Kid Cassidy (John Potter) of KWNR replaced Gary and Scotty in the mornings, with Insane Rick Shane remaining as producer. Other local hosts were T.J. Evans, "Gentleman Jim" Mickleson, Bob Wells and Tracy Chapman, while Blair Garner did the overnight shift. KKAT took over the number one position among five country stations from KSOP-FM, the only station in the group to lose listeners. Gary and Scotty had been hired to replace Ken Simmons after Simmons' arrest for lewd behavior, and the station and the morning hosts could not overcome the stigma of that incident. But hiring Cassidy and a strong promotional effort worked. KKAT would be replaced by KPQP, a Top 40 station, in 2004. KPQP would last until KENZ's move to the frequency in late 2005.

The End...

The End... is the fourth studio album by Nico. It was released in November 1974, through record label Island.

Background

The End... is her fifth collaboration with John Cale and second with him as producer. It carries the same harmonium-based sound heard on The Marble Index (1969) and Desertshore (1970), with the addition of Brian Eno's synthesizers and electronic instruments.

The song "You Forget to Answer" tells of the misery felt by Nico when she failed to reach ex-lover Jim Morrison by phone only to find out later that he had died. All but two of the songs on the album were written by Nico: the cover of The Doors' "The End" and a version of the German national anthem "Das Lied der Deutschen". Brian Eno performs synthesizer on "It Has Not Taken Long", "You Forgot to Answer" and "Innocent and Vain".

The front and back covers feature stills from the Philippe Garrel film Les hautes solitudes (1974) in which Nico appears.
