Imagenes (Images) may refer to:
Imágenes was a Peruvian rock band conformed by the now actor Diego Bertie (vocals), Aurelio "Chifa" García Miró(drums), Dante Albertini(bass) and Hernán Campos(guitar).
The musical debut of the now actor Diego Bertie was in 1986 when he was a student of the Universidad del Pacifico. He joined his class teammates Aurelio Garcia Miró, Dante Albertini and Hernan Campos; they initiated the band when they were in High School, and they called it Imágenes. Before Diego sang vocals, the lead singer was the well recognized Peruvian Chef, Gastón Acurio. He left the band because he went to Spain to study, but the other 3 members kept the band alive and Diego joined to make it real. At the end of 1986, they recorded their first song and first hit, "Los Buenos Tiempos". It was a hit during summer of 1987.
A curious thing is that Imágenes did hardly any concerts. Their concerts can be "counted with the fingers" because for its members Imágenes was only a hobby. The most important concert was when they opened the show to Hombres G, when the performed at Colegio San Agustín in October 1987. In August, 1988 they released their first and only LP called Nuestra Versión, which contained the hit songs "Los Buenos Tiempos", "Caras Nuevas", "Una Vez Más", "Más Humano", "Sacamos Las Fotos" and "Quién Llora". In June, 1988 they released "Caras Nuevas", their new single which also became a hit in Perú, this single had a very successful video-clip.
Imágenes (Images), is the title of the second studio album released by Puerto-Rican singer Lourdes Robles in 1990. The album became very successful in the United States where it peaked at number nine in the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart. The album includes the number-one single "Abrázame Fuerte", and the top ten hit "Gracias a Tu Amor", a duet with Nicaraguan performer Luis Enrique. "Miedo", "Que Lástima" and "Es Él" were released as singles, reaching the Top 40 in the US.
Imágenes was produced by Rudy Perez and Ricardo Eddy and features songs written by both producers, Omar Sánchez, Jorge Luis Piloto and Manuel Alejandro. The album was awarded with a Gold album certification.
The information is taken from the album liner notes.
I was passing by the churchhouse
Just like I always do
Someone was getting married
So I peeped in to see who
Got upon a ladder
To get a better view
And bless my soul, to my surprise
My darling, it was you
That's when I cried
That's when I cried
I saw him take you for his bride
And I broke right down and cried
Now darling I forgive you
But I never will forget
Just why you didn't marry me
You haven't told me yet
I'm feeling low with someone
Who loves somebody else
I thought it over good last night
And I felt sorry for myself
That's when I cried
That's when I cried
I just couldn't keep it no more inside
So I broke right down and cried
What's done is done already
That's all there is to that
You got me so bewildered
Till I don't know where I'm at
I can't believe you're married
Can't get it through my head
And every time it crossed my mind
I wished that I were dead
Today I saw you passing
"Hello," was all I said
And bless my soul, you looked at me
And you turned your pretty head
That's when I cried
That's when I cried
I put my foolish pride aside
And I cried, cried, cried
I cried
I cried
I cried
