Wish (manga)

Wish (Japanese: ウィッシュ, Hepburn: Wisshu) is a Japanese shōjo manga series created by Clamp. It is published in English by Tokyopop. The American translation was imported to Australia by Madman Entertainment.

Plot

While walking home from work one day, a doctor named Shuichiro notices an angel, Kohaku, stuck on a tree while being attacked by a crow. He rescues Kohaku and, in return, Kohaku offers to grant him a wish. However, Shuichiro does not WANT one. His life is OK, his work is going well, he has no money problems and he believes in fulfilling his own dreams! What can an angel do? Kohaku decides that the best thing to do is hang around and help him till he does think of a wish they can grant.

During their stay, the angel Hisui, and two demons, Koryuu and Kokuyo, also begin living in the house, along with the Koryuu's servants Ruri and Hari. Kokuyo is the son of Satan and is in love with Hisui, who is one of the four Angel Masters controlling the four elements: earth, wind, fire, and water; with wind being her element. Kokuyo admits that he made love to Hisui and that is how they ended up together. This relationship, however, is forbidden in both Heaven and Hell, so the two sought refuge on Earth. Kohaku originally came to Earth to find Hisui, who had been a mentor and parental figure to them. In spite his new housemates, Shuichiro remains as stoic as ever. Although he persists in not making a wish, without realizing it, he grows attached to Kohaku.

Wish (Yuna Ito album)

Wish is the second studio album by Japanese-pop singer Yuna Ito. The album was released on 20 February 2008 on Studioseven Recordings, Sony Music Japan. Wish was released in two versions, CD-only and CD-DVD version. In its first week 49,000 copies were sold. Wish has been certified gold by RIAJ for shipment of 100,000 copies in Japan.

Wish (Arashi song)

"Wish" is the fifteenth single of the Japanese boy band Arashi. The single was released in two editions: a regular edition containing karaoke versions of the songs released in the single, and a limited edition containing a bonus track. The regular edition also contains a hidden track of the group's Secret Talk, in which the members' conversation lasted about forty-two minutes in total before the track was edited down to about thirty-eight minutes.

"Wish" was used as the theme song and at the same time opening song for the drama Hana Yori Dango starring Mao Inoue, Arashi member Jun Matsumoto, Shun Oguri, Shota Matsuda and Tsuyoshi Abe. Matsumoto accepted his role of Tsukasa Dōmyōji in Hana Yori Dango so that the group would be able release "Wish" as their next single.

Illusion

An illusion is a distortion of the senses, revealing how the brain normally organizes and interprets sensory stimulation. Though illusions distort reality, they are generally shared by most people. Illusions may occur with any of the human senses, but visual illusions (optical illusions), are the most well-known and understood. The emphasis on visual illusions occurs because vision often dominates the other senses. For example, individuals watching a ventriloquist will perceive the voice is coming from the dummy since they are able to see the dummy mouth the words. Some illusions are based on general assumptions the brain makes during perception. These assumptions are made using organizational principles (e.g., Gestalt theory), an individual's capacity for depth perception and motion perception, and perceptual constancy. Other illusions occur because of biological sensory structures within the human body or conditions outside of the body within one’s physical environment.

The term illusion refers to a specific form of sensory distortion. Unlike a hallucination, which is a distortion in the absence of a stimulus, an illusion describes a misinterpretation of a true sensation. For example, hearing voices regardless of the environment would be a hallucination, whereas hearing voices in the sound of running water (or other auditory source) would be an illusion.

Faith Hill

Faith Hill (born Audrey Faith Perry; September 21, 1967) is an American country pop singer and occasional actress. She is one of the most successful country artists of all time, having sold more than 40 million albums worldwide. Hill is married to country singer Tim McGraw, with whom she has recorded several duets.

Hill's first two albums, Take Me as I Am (1993) and It Matters to Me (1995), were major successes and placed a combined three number ones on Billboard's country charts. She then achieved mainstream and crossover success with her next two albums, Faith (1998) and Breathe (1999). Faith spawned her first international hit, "This Kiss", and went multi-platinum in various countries. Breathe became her best-selling album to date and one of the best-selling country albums of all time, with the huge crossover success of the songs "Breathe" and "The Way You Love Me". It had massive sales worldwide and earned Hill three Grammy Awards, including Best Country Album.

Hill's next two albums, Cry (2002) and Fireflies (2005), were both commercial successes and kept her mainstream popularity; the former spawned another crossover single, "Cry", which won Hill a Grammy Award, and the latter produced the hit singles "Mississippi Girl" and "Like We Never Loved at All", which earned her another Grammy Award.

Illusion (series)

The Illusion series, known in Japan as I Love Mickey Mouse, is a series of platforming video games licensed by Disney and developed/published by Sega exclusively for its consoles Master System, Mega Drive and Game Gear. The series follows the adventures of Disney's cartoon character Mickey Mouse (sometimes with Donald Duck) between various fantasy worlds. The series includes Castle of Illusion, and its sequels Land of Illusion, World of Illusion and Legend of Illusion. The first two games and the last game were released for Master System and Game Gear, and the first game and the third game were released for Mega Drive.
