"Il mio amore unico" (English: My only love) is a song by Italian singer Dolcenera, released in 2009 as the lead single from her fourth studio album, Dolcenera nel paese delle meraviglie. The song competed in the Sanremo Music Festival 2009, being eliminated in the semi-final of the show. Despite this, it became a radio hit and a commercial success in Italy, peaking at number five on the Italian Singles Chart.
On 23 July 2009, the song received the Lunezia Award for Sanremo, for its "musical-literary value".
The song, produced by Dolcenera and Roberto Vernetti, was written by Dolcenera herself, together with Saverio Lanza, Gian Piero Ameli and Oscar Avogadro. Its lyrics are about a three-way love affair, in which a woman lives a "totalizing love" with a man, who is also involved with another woman.
On 22 December 2008, it was announced that the song was chosen among the 104 submitted entries as one of the sixteen participants in the 59th Sanremo Music Festival. Dolcenera sang it for the first time on 17 February 2009, when she was the first singer in the "Big Artists" section to perform during the opening night of the contest. After being admitted to the second night, Dolcenera performed it again on the following day, when she was announced as one of the artists competing in the semi-final of the contest. During the semi-final, held on 20 February 2009, Dolcenera performed the song in a duet with Italian singer Syria, but she was eliminated from the competition.
Unico (ユニコ, Yuniko) is a manga and anime character by Osamu Tezuka. Unico is a baby unicorn with white fur, a pink mane, and little cinnamon bun-shaped ears, who was born with the very special gift of making all living creatures lighthearted and happy.
His friends in the various manga and anime incarnations of his story include Beezle, the young Devil of Solitude from Scottish Mythology (part of Celtic Mythology); Chao (or "Katy" in the English anime), a naive little kitty who longs to be a human girl, and to learn magic from a real witch; a spunky little Sphinx (in the second film), and a warm-hearted human girl named Cheri.
Unico's way of bringing happiness to others gets him into trouble with the gods, who believe that only they should have the ability to control others' emotions. The gods send the West Wind to banish Unico to the Hill of Oblivion, but the West Wind takes pity on Unico and declines to follow the gods' commands. The gods are furious when they learn of the West Wind's defiance, and send the Night Wind to capture Unico. To protect Unico from the gods and the Night Wind, the West Wind must continually transport the little unicorn from place to place. Whenever the gods discover Unico's whereabouts, the West Wind appears to spirit him away once again, often without getting to say goodbye to any of the friends he has made - and without any memory of those friends, as Unico's memory is wiped clean each time.
Bodegas Vega Sicilia is a Spanish winery located in the Ribera del Duero Denominacion de Origen in Valladolid, Castilla y León (North of Spain). The "Vega Sicilia" wine is well known as one of the most notable Spanish wines. The winery was founded in 1864 by Don Eloy Lecanda y Chaves, who planted various grapes from the Bordeaux wine region of France, including Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which are still being used in the wines today.
Since 1982, the same year that the Ribera del Duero was granted Denominación de Origen (DO) status, the winery has been owned by the Álvarez family who are members of the Primum Familiae Vini.
In comparing the wines of Spain to the First Growth wines of Bordeaux, wine expert Hugh Johnson, after comparing Rioja producers Marqués de Riscal and Marqués de Murrieta to Château Lafite Rothschild and Château Mouton Rothschild, respectively, noted that "Vega Sicilia is the Latour; but Latour of a vintage that has raisined the grapes and fried the picking crews."—a reference to the significantly warmer climate and different growing conditions of the Ribera del Duero.
