Reid was born in Glasgow and started his career as a youth player at Nottingham Forest, but was unable to secure a senior contract. He joined Dundee United in July 1970, making his senior debut the following month. Despite an impressive early impact, including scoring against Grasshoppers in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, he spent most of his three years at the club playing in the reserves. Reid played in 12 league matches for the Tannadice Park club and scored 3 goals.
Reid signed for Queen of the South in September 1973, having initially turned down the move the previous month. Reid played in 193 matches in all competitions for Queens, with 154 of those being league matches. Reid is currently 8th equal in Queens all-time goal scoring list alongside Jimmy Robertson with 89 goals in all competitions, with 79 of those being league goals. Fellow player Ian McChesney described Reid as 'the player who made things tick'. Reid's Queens career came to an end in January 1977 when he was transferred for a fee of £4,000 to Airdrieonians where he played in 7 league matches and scored 2 goals.
Ian Wilson Carlyle Reid (born May 27, 1931) was a provincial level politician from Alberta, Canada. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1979 to 1989. During his time in office, Reid served various portfolios in the Executive Council of Alberta under the Governments of Peter Lougheed and Don Getty from 1983 to 1989.
Reid ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature for the first time in the 1979 Alberta general election. He won the electoral district of Edson by a wide margin defeating three other candidates to hold it for the governing Progressive Conservative party. He served his first term in the back benches.
Reid won his second term in office in the 1982 Alberta general election. A year after the election on December 20, 1983, Premier Peter Lougheed appointed Reid to his first position in the Alberta Executive Council as Solicitor General. He held that position almost all the way through his second term. After Premier Don Getty came to power Reid was promoted to Minister of Labour. Prior to his promotion to Cabinet Reid served as whip for the Government caucus.
Red light in the district tonight
i'm drying out I know I'm only half alive
break free from the anger that's inside of me
two sheets to the wind
I'm hung to dry
coming clean
break down in the city on the streets tonight
crack down
living but it don't feel right
no sleep for the wicked
no rest for the wild tongith we're runnin' with the devil
we're out of rope & our of line and we're so lonely tonight
white lights in the skies tonight
how crooked are the corners when two wrongs won't make a right?
outcast from the agner that's inside of me
heaven sent
hell bent whiskey town stellite
and we're so lonely tonigth
we let it all hang out tonight
we're gonna lose control this time we live 'till we die
we're restless and we're restless
and we're so lonely tonight
