Ian B. Goldberg

Ian B. Goldberg is an American television writer and producer.

He is well known for his work on the ABC fantasy/drama Once Upon a Time.

Career

He first worked on The WB series Related, starring Jennifer Esposito and Lizzy Caplan. He wrote the episode "Driving Miss Crazy".

In 2008, Goldberg joined the Fox science-fiction series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, as staff writer. He wrote four episodes for the show, before its cancellation in 2009.

He was a story editor and writer of two episodes, on the ABC drama FlashForward, for its first and only season.

Goldberg was an executive story editor and writer on the CBS drama Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, a spin-off from Criminal Minds. He wrote three episodes before its cancellation in May 2011.

In late summer 2011, Goldberg boarded the ABC fantasy series Once Upon a Time, as a writer and co-producer. Episodes he has contributed to include:

Ian, Iain (/ˈiː.ən/; Scottish Gaelic pronunciation: [ˈɪʲən]) is a name of Scottish Gaelic origin, corresponding to English/Hebrew John. It is a very popular name in much of the English-speaking world and especially in Scotland, where it originated. Ian Chesterton

Ian Chesterton is a fictional character in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who and a companion of the First Doctor. He was played in the series by William Russell, and was one of the members of the programme's very first regular cast, appearing in the bulk of the first two seasons from 1963 to 1965. In a film adaptation of one of the serials, Dr. Who and the Daleks (1965), he was played by Roy Castle, but with a very different personality and backstory. Ian appeared in 16 stories (77 episodes).

Character history

Ian Chesterton is a science teacher at the Coal Hill School and works with Barbara Wright, a history teacher. One of their students, Susan Foreman, the granddaughter of the Doctor, shows unusually advanced knowledge of science and history. Attempting to solve the mystery of this "unearthly child," Ian and Barbara follow Susan back home to a junkyard, where they hear her voice coming from what appears to be a police box. When they investigate further, they discover that the police box exterior hides the much larger interior of a time machine known as the TARDIS, and are whisked away on an adventure in time and space with the Doctor and Susan.

Maximum Destruction, otherwise known as "Max D", is a monster truck owned by Tom Meents that currently runs on theMonster Jam circuit.

History

In 1999, Clear Channel (now Feld Entertainment) signed a contract with World Championship Wrestling to create monster trucks based on popular professional wrestlers. In order to ensure the success of the truck of Goldberg, Clear Channel contracted the team of Tom Meents (who was already wildly popular from driving Monster Patrol and Bulldozer) to build and campaign the "Goldberg" truck. Meents debuted in the truck in January 2000 at the Georgia Dome, where he won racing and finished third in freestyle. As the year progressed, and as Dennis Anderson struggled in Grave Digger, Meents became almost unstoppable and capped the year by winning the very first Monster Jam World Finals Racing Championship. The following year saw a continuation of the dominance, when Meents won the world racing and freestyle championships. In late 2001, WCW was bought out by the World Wrestling Federation and the deal with Clear Channel was dropped. For 2002, Meents kept the same truck and body but renamed the truck Team Meents, even retaining much of Goldberg's color scheme and graphics. Once again, Meents swept both the racing and freestyle at World Finals 3.

Goldberg is a town in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. It is situated 24 km northeast of Parchim, and 46 km east of Schwerin.
