Paris (Paris Hilton album)

Paris is the debut studio album by American media personality and singer Paris Hilton. It was released on August 22, 2006 by Warner Bros. Records. The entire album was posted on AOL Music on August 14, 2006, becoming available for online stream eight days before the scheduled release date. After getting signed to the label in 2005, Hilton began working on the album with the producer Rob Cavallo, who was originally set to produce the entire record. They recorded the song "Screwed", which was intended to be the lead single. However, after meeting with Scott Storch, Hilton decided to change the musical direction of the album and make more hip hop and R&B influenced songs. She collaborated with other producers, including Fernando Garibay, J.R. Rotem, Dr. Luke and Greg Wells. Musically, Paris is a pop album that is influenced by hip hop and R&B. It also incorporates elements of other genres, such as reggae, soul and pop rock, in its production.

Upon its release, Paris received generally mixed reviews from music critics, but noted a commercial success, peaking at number six on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 77,000 copies. As of October 2013, the album has sold 200,000 copies in the United States and over 600,000 copies worldwide.

I Want You (Marvin Gaye album)

I Want You is the fourteenth studio album by American soul musician Marvin Gaye, released March 16, 1976, on Motown-subsidiary label Tamla Records. Recording sessions for the album took place throughout 1975 and 1976 at Motown Recording Studios, also known as Hitsville West, and Gaye's personal studio Marvin's Room in Los Angeles, California. The album has often been noted by critics for producer Leon Ware's exotic, low-key production and the erotic, sexual themes in his and Gaye's songwriting. The album's cover artwork adapts neo-mannerist artist Ernie Barnes's famous painting The Sugar Shack (1971).

I Want You consisted of Gaye's first recorded studio material since his highly successful and well-received album Let's Get It On (1973). While it marked a change in musical direction for Gaye, departing from his trademark Motown and doo-wop-influenced sound for funky, light-disco soul, the album maintained and expanded on his previous work's sexual themes. Following a mixed response from critics at the time of its release, I Want You has earned retrospective recognition from writers and music critics as one of Gaye's most controversial works and influential to such musical styles as disco, quiet storm, R&B, and neo soul.

I Want You is the second studio album by Carried Away. "Alive" from their debut album returns, but now features a choir at its ending.

Peter Leko

Peter Leko (Hungarian: Lékó Péter; Serbian: Петер Леко); born September 8, 1979 in Subotica, Yugoslavia) is a Hungarian chess grandmaster. He became the world's youngest grandmaster in 1994. A two-time World Championship Candidate, he challenged Vladimir Kramnik in the Classical World Chess Championship 2004 and drew the match 7–7, with Kramnik retaining the title.

Leko has achieved victories in many major chess tournaments, including the annual tournaments at Dortmund, Linares, Wijk aan Zee and the Tal Memorial in Moscow. He won two team silver medals and an individual gold medal representing Hungary at eight Chess Olympiads as well as team bronze and silver and an individual silver medal at three European Team Championships.

Leko has been ranked as high as fourth in the FIDE World Rankings, which he first achieved in April 2003. He is married to Sofia Petrosian, daughter of Armenian grandmaster Arshak Petrosian who is also Leko's trainer.

Early years

Peter Leko was born in the city of Subotica, Yugoslavia but moved to Szeged when he was one year old. He was taught chess by his father shortly before he turned seven and took part in tournaments from the age of nine. His first coach Tibor Karolyi began work with him in 1989, ending three months before Leko became a grandmaster. They later reunited in 1998 until the end of 2000. Leko also worked with International Master Gaspar Mathe when he was ten years old.
