I Need a House

"I Need a House" is the second single by Swedish pop music singer Marie Serneholt released from her debut album Enjoy the Ride. The single was released on 6 June 2006 in Sweden.

"I Need a House" spent 3 weeks in the Swedish Top 60. Despite its low chart position, the song peaked at #2 on the Digital Sales in early May, when the video was released. Delays of the physical single skewed sales towards internet downloads.

The single has been released throughout Europe with a different cover and track listing.

Marie promoted her new single in Germany, where it debuted at #49 on the German Top 100, but failed to make an impact on the charts and fell to #76 in its second week. The single charted on the German Top 100 for 5 weeks before falling off the charts.

In the United Kingdom, finalists of the The X Factor, Same Difference recorded a version of the song for their debut album, Pop.

The video for "I Need a House" was filmed in Sweden in April 2006, and was premiered in May with strong response on the Swedish music channels.

Atlantic House

The Atlantic House (often called the A-House, even in its own advertisements) in Provincetown, Massachusetts is a drinking establishment that has been in continual operation on the tip of Cape Cod for over two centuries.

Having been an openly gay-friendly establishment for half a century and discreetly so for perhaps twice that long, the Atlantic House is an excellent contender for the oldest gay bar in the United States. Frommer's calls it "the nation's premier gay bar".

Early history

The oldest part of the building (now the left wing) was constructed in 1798 by Daniel Pease, Provincetown's first postmaster. Pease operated the building as a tavern although the name of the establishment at this time, if it had one, is uncertain. After Pease's death from cholera in 1834, the business was purchased by Benjamin Allstrum and became known as the Allstrum House. It served as the last stagecoach stop of the Orleans to Provincetown route until the arrival of the train in 1873.

When Allstrum died in 1871, Frank Perry Smith, a Portuguesesailor who had arrived in town by sea at the age of eighteen, bought the Allstrum House. At some point, the original structure was joined with a much larger adjacent structure that was fitted with guest rooms. Smith renamed the business "Atlantic House Hotel" and it has been called the Atlantic House since.

A House

A House were an Irish band from the 1980s to the 1990s, recognized for the clever, "often bitter or irony laden lyrics of [frontman] Dave Couse ... bolstered by the [band's] seemingly effortless musicality". The single "Endless Art" is one of their best known charting successes. A House were managed throughout their career by John Carroll.

Beginnings

Formed in Dublin by former of the band Last Chance, vocalist Dave Couse, guitarist Fergal Bunbury, bassist Martin Healy (who had all been schoolfriends at Templeogue College), and drummer Dermot Wylie came together as A House. Initially developing a classic, guitar based rock sound to highlight Couse's frank but often bitter-tongued lyrics the band put in all the appropriate rites of passage for an Irish group in the mid-1980s, honing their live skills in the pubs of Dublin, performing in McGonagle's club (best known internationally as the venue where U2 cut their teeth in the late seventies), at free gigs in the Phoenix Park, and turns on RTÉ's TV GaGa and Dave Fanning's radio sessions.

Kandi Koated

Kandi Koated is the second studio album by American R&B recording artist Kandi Burruss, released on December 14, 2010 in the United States on her independent label Kandi Koated Entertainment and Asylum Records. The album features production from Kandi amongst others including Jazze Pha, Ne-Yo, Bryan-Michael Cox, and Drumma Boy. Kandi promoted the album with her debut EP, Fly Above EP, released on October 29, 2009. The first single "Leave U" has reached number 89 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart The U.S. iTunes Store had a deluxe edition available for pre-order with 3 bonus tracks.

Background

In 2006, Kandi confirmed that she was working on her next album, which was originally set to be released that same year. Then, a promo single, "I Need", was released on December 19, 2006 for her second album. After the promo single failed to garner any success or attention, the album was put on hold indefinitely.

In 2008, Kandi began work on her second album. The album had several release dates in 2009; July, August, September, and November. The Fly Above EP was released on October 29, 2009, coinciding with the release of the album. It was used to promote the album and the lead single "Fly Above". Kandi made the decision to delay her second album into 2010 because she wanted to continue to record, but the main reason for the delay was because of the fact that Capitol Records hadn't signed her. The deal later fell through. Kandi also wanted to be able to promote her debut EP separately from her album.

Blurring the Edges

Blurring the Edges is the debut studio album by the American singer-songwriter Meredith Brooks. Produced by Geza X and David Ricketts. It was released through Capitol Records on May 5, 1997. It became a huge commercial success. Going double platinum in Canada and platinum in the United States.
