I like it loud was produced and written by Marc Acardipane and was released in 1997 on Acardipane Records/ID&T.
The lyrics "My radio believe me I like it loud" originally come from the LL Cool J song 'I Can't Live Without My Radio'.

Scooter version

In 2003, "I Like It Loud" was covered by German Dance group Scooter as "Maria (I Like It Loud)", it was released as the third and final single from their 2003 album The Stadium Techno Experience.

History

The version made for the single features Marc Acardipane and Dick Rules and is a remixed version of the track featured on the album. The video for the song shows Scooter performing at a night club together with Dick Rules, who acts as MC in the same way as he acts in life performances together with Marc Acardipane. In the charts, the single reached number four in Germany and Austria.

"Like It Loud" is the debut single by Australian singer Cassie Davis, taken from her debut album Differently. It was released on 22 January 2009 on the iTunes Store, and 23 January 2009 as a CD single. The B side is a cover of The Cure's classic "Boys Don't Cry".

The music video can be viewed on Cassie Davis' official website, together with the music video for the single's B-side, "Boys Don't Cry". Davis made her first live television debut on the second elimination show of season 2 on reality TV series So You Think You Can Dance Australia performing "Like It Loud".

“The song is such a fusion,” “It’s urban in the verses and then the chorus rocks out a bit. There are even some punk bits in the bridge too. “Like many of my other songs, I started this one in my studio and I wasn’t thinking about genre or a song to match the others. It was just what I was feeling at the time so there are a lot of different vibes in it but you can still sing along.”

Background and composition

The song was composed by Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull, Lionel Richie, and RedOne. Iglesias and Pitbull wrote their lyrics, RedOne produced the music, and Richie's 1983 classic "All Night Long (All Night)" is interpolated after the first and third choruses. Richie said: "It's a song that when I wrote it and not much thought was more by sound." The song is written in the key of G Mixolydian, with the chord progression of G-F-Am-G (recorded in G# major). It is set in common time with a tempo of 129 beats per minute.
