It spawned two music videos for the song "One Less Heart To Break", which is an anti-suicide rock song, and for "Dance 'Til We Die", a song that has been described by lead singer, Joe Ragosta, as Being about "...zombies eating peoples brains". Both of those songs were later re-used as bonus tracks on the band's next album "Second Family

The song title "Not Penny's Boat" refers to a character in the TV show Lost. The song "Walk In Closet" is regarded as a sequel to the song "Los Angeles" from the album Save Each Other, the Whales Are Doing Fine. The song "She Only Wants My Blood" uses metaphors to make is over-controlling and selfish lover seem similar to a vampire.The song "One Less Heart To Break" was inspired by the suicide of one of the bands close friends and has been credited as saving peoples lives. The song "Dance 'Til We Die" tells the story of zombies invading a dance club.

Not Alone (Bernard Butler song)

"Not Alone" is the second single from Bernard Butler released in March 1998. It was taken from the album People Move On and charted at number 27 on the UK Singles Chart.

The song is an upbeat pop song with a string arrangement similar to his hit single "Yes" with David McAlmont. The song was well received by critics. Ned Raggett of Allmusic said that "...Not Alone crashes in like a pop anthem from heaven. It's the absolute standout on People Move On when it comes to showing that Butler can equal the sweep and passion of his previous collaborators."

Chuck Taylor of Billboard wrote: "From the start, "Not Alone" builds like an old-style 60s pop hit, with a wall of upfront strings and rusty guitars and a chorus that's terrifically clever and instantly accessible." He later ranked "Not Alone" at number seven in his top ten songs of 1998.

The music video for the title song was directed by James Brown.

Not Alone (album)

Not Alone is a compilation album of five CDs, released in February 2006. It was curated by Mark Logan, founder of Busted Flat records and David Tibet. Proceeds from the sale of Not Alone are donated to Médecins Sans Frontières, specifically towards their work on the AIDS epidemic in Africa. As of November 2014, the project has generated $35,500 CAD in donations to M.S.F.

Vehicle inspection in the United States

In the United States, vehicle safety inspection and emissions inspection are governed by each state individually. 17 states have a periodic (annual or biennial) safety inspection program, while Maryland and Alabama require a safety inspection on sale or transfer of vehicles which were previously registered in another state. New Jersey discontinued its passenger vehicle safety inspection program on August 1, 2010.

In 1977, the federal Clean Air Act was amended by Congress to require states to implement vehicle emissions inspection programs, known as I/M programs (for Inspection and Maintenance), in all major metropolitan areas whose air quality failed to meet certain federal standards. New York's program started in 1982, California's program ("Smog Check") started in 1984, and Illinois' program started in 1986. The Clean Air Act of 1990 required some states to enact vehicle emissions inspection programs. State impacted were those in metropolitan areas where air quality did not meet federal standards. Some states, including Kentucky and Minnesota, have discontinued their testing programs in recent years with approval from the federal government.
