In Greek mythology, the name Hypseus (Ὑψεύς) may refer to:
- Hypseus, King of the Lapiths, son of the river god Peneus by the naiad Creusa, daughter of Gaia.[1] By Chlidanope[2] he had four daughters: Cyrene,[3][4][5] Themisto,[6] Alcaea and Astyagyia (who married Periphas).[7]
- Hypseus, who fought on Phineus' side against Perseus. He killed Prothoenor, but was himself slain by Lyncides.[8]
- Hypseus, son of Asopus, who fought in the war of the Seven Against Thebes[9]. He killed a number of opponents, including Antiphōs, Astyages, Linus, and Tages, and was himself slain by Capaneus.[10]
