Hurt is the fourth extended play by American emo band Hawthorne Heights, released on September 18, 2015. It is the third and final EP in the Hate/Hope/Hurt trilogy.

Hurt (2015 film)

Hurt is a Canadian documentary film, directed by Alan Zweig and released in 2015.

The film explores the troubled life of Steve Fonyo, the Canadian amputee athlete who completed a cross-Canada run to raise funds for cancer research in 1984 and 1985.

The film was produced by MDF Productions.

The film won the Platform Prize at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival. In December, the film was announced as part of TIFF's annual Canada's Top Ten screening series of the ten best Canadian films of the year.

Hurt (Christina Aguilera song)

"Hurt" is a song by American recording artist Christina Aguilera. It was written by Aguilera, Linda Perry and Mark Ronson, and produced by Perry for Aguilera's fifth studio album, Back to Basics (2006). "Hurt" was released as the album's second single on September 19, 2006 by RCA Records instead of "Candyman", which was planned to be the second one. The song's lyrical content came after Aguilera's desire to record a song about losing someone and describes how one deals with the loss of a loved one. Perry developed the first draft of the song while Aguilera rewrote some of the lyrics, and the final version is a tribute to the pair's symbiotic teamwork. Its instrumentation comes from bass, cello, contrabass, drums, guitar, piano, viola and violin.

"Hurt" received positive reviews from music critics, who praised Aguilera's vocals and the song's production. Commercially, the song attained moderate success in the United States, peaking at number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100; it was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), having sold more than 1.1 million copies in the United States alone, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The song was a top-ten hit worldwide, reaching the top ten in Austria, Belgium and France, and received a certification in regions including Australia, Canada and Switzerland.

Brave (Kelis song)

"Brave" is a song performed by American recording artist Kelis, taken from her fifth studio album, Flesh Tone. The up-tempo electro-dance song was written by Kelis, will.i.am, Jean Baptiste and James Fauntleroy, and produced by Benny Benassi and Alle Benassi. It was released on 6 January 2011, as the album's fourth single by will.i.am music and Interscope Records. Kelis has also re-recorded the track in 'simlish' for video game The Sims 3: Late Night.

A music video, directed by Rankin, for the single was uploaded to YouTube on November 19, 2010. The video shows a still camera of Kelis, wearing a white top with a white background behind her with the camera moving while a large beat is being played.

Brave (1994 film)

Brave is a 1994 musical film directed by Richard Stanley and based on the 1994 concept album Brave by English progressive rock band Marillion.

History and production

In 1994, Marillion released their seventh studio album Brave. A concept album inspired by a news story singer/lyricist Steve Hogarth had heard about an amnesiac girl found wandering the Severn Bridge, the album follows a fictional account of the girl's life and the events that led her there. After the release of the album, Marillion expressed a desire to create a video out of the album's concept in a manner comparable to Pink Floyd's The Wall. The band's then-label EMI reluctantly agreed to this, despite the relatively poor sales of the album. Cult film director Richard Stanley, intrigued by the concept, agreed to sign on as the project's director.

The music videos for Brave's three singles - "The Great Escape", "Hollow Man" and "Alone Again in the Lap of Luxury" - were taken from this film. The run time of the film is 57 minutes; both the original VHS release and the 2004 re-issue on DVD additionally include a 30 minutes "making-of" documentary.

Brave (Jennifer Lopez album)

Brave is the sixth studio album by American entertainer Jennifer Lopez. It was released on October 4, 2007, by Epic Records. Inspired by her marriage with Marc Anthony and taking influences by Jamiroquai and Sade, "Brave" features prominently samples from old classics, mixing up with funk and R&B music. Brave sees Lopez working with new collaborators, such as Ryan Tedder, Midi Mafia, Jonathan Rotem, Bloodshy, Lynn & Wade LLP, The Clutch and others, while also working with long-time collaborator Cory Rooney throughout the album.

The album received a mixed reception from critics, with some complimenting its production, calling the album one of her strongest albums to date, while many called it a formulaic and bland album. Commercially, the album was a commercial disappointment, becoming her first album to miss the top-ten on the Billboard 200 chart, while also missing the top-twenty in the UK, Australia and other important markets. It has sold only 650,000 copies worldwide.
