Hurby Azor

Hurby "Luv Bug" Azor, or "Fingerprints" as he was also known, (born July 7, 1965) is a Haitian hip-hop music producer, best known for discovering the successful female hip-hop trio Salt-n-Pepa and the also successful hip-hop duo Kid 'n Play.

Hurby Azor is an American of Haitian descent.

Career

In the mid-1980s, with the fad of hip-hop response records all the rage, Hurby and the group Salt-n-Pepa (then known as Super Nature) recorded a response to Doug E. Fresh & The Get Fresh Crew's "The Show" called "The Show Stoppa." Though not as popular as most response records, Get Fresh Crew emcee Slick Rick did note years later, after he and the women later became friends, that the record annoyed him. Hurby would also go on to produce Dana Dane, Sweet Tee, Kwamé, and others.

Hurby wrote and performed in Salt-N-Pepa's music video for "Push It", on keyboards and back vocals, and also wrote the duo's song "Let's Talk About Sex."

In 1995, Azor co-wrote and produced Snow's single "Anything for You", which became the top-selling single in Jamaica that year.

Luv Bug

Luv Bug are an Irish pop band originating from Newry in Northern Ireland, UK. They are most famous for representing Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986 with the song "You Can Count On Me".

Career

The group were formed in late 1982 and consisted of sister and brothers June (lead vocals), Hugh (bass) and Max (guitar) Cunningham along with Ricky Meyler (vocals and keyboards) and Majella Grant (drums).

They became successful as a live act throughout Ireland and released their first single "Red Light Spells Danger" in 1984. The song was a cover of the Billy Ocean track and was followed up by a string of their own compositions, many of which became hits on the Irish Charts. Among their best known hits are "Living In Stereo" (1985), "On My Own" (1986) and "Look at Me I'm Dancing" (1985).

In 1986, they won the National Song Contest with their song "You Can Count On Me" and competed in that year's Eurovision Song Contest in Norway. They ended the night fourth out of twenty entrants and the song reached the Irish top five.

Luv' was a Dutch female pop trio that scored a string of hit records in Continental Europe (Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Denmark) as well as South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Mexico in the late 1970s and early 1980s. This girl group consisted of Patty Brard, José Hoebee and Marga Scheide. In 1979, Luv' was "Holland's best export act" and thus received the "Conamus Export Prize".

The band sold more than seven million records worldwide (singles and albums). Among their greatest hits were: U.O.Me (Welcome To Waldolala), You're the Greatest Lover, Trojan Horse, Casanova and Ooh, Yes I Do. The formation went through line-up changes and the original singers reunited several times. They had a hectic schedule between 2006 and 2008. They gave their final performance on August 11, 2012 in Spaarnwoude at the Dutch Valley Festival. Two members of the pop act have had a successful solo career in their homeland: Patty as a TV personality and José as a vocalist.

Pink Luv

Pink Luv is the fifth mini-album by South Korean girl group Apink, released on November 24, 2014. The album's lead single is the title track "Luv".

Release and promotion

The EP Pink Luv was released on November 24. "Luv" debuted at number 2 on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart and stayed there for two weeks. It scored Apink's first three triple crown wins in music shows (MTV The Show, Music Core and Inkigayo.)

Apink performed a snippet of "Secret", a track on their album, in addition to a full performance of "Luv" on KBS's Music Bank on November 21. This was followed by additional comebacks on music programs including MBC's Show! Music Core, SBS's Inkigayo , SBS's The Show, MBC Music's Show Champion and Mnet's M! Countdown. Apink received 17 trophies in total on the aforementioned music shows with "Luv".
