Huaibei

Huaibei (Chinese: 淮北; pinyin: Huáiběi) is a prefecture-level city in northern Anhui Province, China. It borders Suzhou to the east, Bengbu to the south, Bozhou to the west, and the province of Henan to the north. The population was 2,114,276 inhabitants at the 2010 census, all in the built-up area, comprising 3 urban districts and Suixi County largely being built.

The prefecture-level city of Huaibei administers 4 county-level divisions, including 3 districts and 1 county.

    Geography

    Situated in western Anhui at 34°09′N 116°39′E / 34.15°N 116.65°E / 34.15; 116.65, Huaibei is located at the junction of Jiangsu, Henan, and Anhui. The city has three districts and one county with a total area of 2.715 km2 (1.048 sq mi) and a population of 2.04 million.
