Hooked!

Hooked! is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Lucy Woodward. It was released on June 15, 2010 as her debut album for Verve Records. The set's first single, "Slow Recovery" was released to iTunes on May 4, 2010.

The album includes nine original songs and three covers versions ("Sans Souci", "I Wan'na Be Like You (The Monkey Song)" and "Stardust"). Two of the originals ("Slow Recovery" and "Too Much to Live For") had previously appeared on Woodward's second album Lucy Woodward Is...Hot & Bothered but were reworked for this release with different vocals and arrangements. The iTunes version also includes another cover, "Fashion", originally recorded by David Bowie for his album Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps).

Hooked (How I Met Your Mother)

"Hooked" is the 16th episode of the fifth season of the CBS situation comedy How I Met Your Mother and 104th episode overall. It originally aired on March 1, 2010.

Plot

Future Ted mentions how most his stories have been romantic or have portrayed him in a fairly positive light, but in this next story, he was simply a jerk. Ted tells the gang that he has invited a woman over under the pretense of checking out his antique camera collection, which Barney classifies as "bait." He's tried many types of bait (slot machine, trampoline), but found that a teacup pig is the best kind, which Ted then borrows after seeing the reaction Robin, Marshall and Lily gave.

Later, Ted is at MacLaren's telling the gang about this woman, Tiffany (Carrie Underwood), he snared using the pig. She says she's really into him, but can't be with him "right now." The gang sees through her ruse, telling Ted that he's been "hooked," a euphemism for stringing someone along until they meet someone better.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (season 6)

The sixth season of the television series, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit premiered September 21, 2004 and ended May 24, 2005 on NBC. It aired on Tuesday nights at 10:00 p.m. In January 2005, when the season was halfway through airing, Mariska Hargitay won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Television Series Drama becoming the first regular cast member of any Law & Order series to win a Golden Globe.

Production

Emmy Ann Wooding, a long time assistant at Wolf Films, died in a car accident while the sixth season was being filmed. The seventh episode "Charisma" was dedicated to her memory. Towards the end of the season, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit crossed over with the third Law & Order spin-off, Law & Order: Trial by Jury with two episodes: "Night" in SVU and "Day" in TBJ. In the episode Casey Novak is beaten unconscious by an Islamic fundamentalist. In an interview for USA Network, Diane Neal, who did her own stunts, revealed that she indeed passed out due to an error in how they acted out the scene.

To the Extreme

To the Extreme is the major label debut studio album of American rapper Vanilla Ice and his best selling album. The album was initially released in 1989 by independent record label Ichiban Records under the title Hooked. Vanilla Ice signed to SBK Records, who reissued the album under its current title. The album contains Vanilla Ice's most successful singles, "Ice Ice Baby" and "Play That Funky Music". Although reviews of the album were mixed, To the Extreme spent 16 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200, and sold 15 million copies worldwide.

History

In 1989 Vanilla Ice released an early version of To the Extreme under the title Hooked on Ichiban Records. "Play That Funky Music" was released as the album's first single, with "Ice Ice Baby" appearing as the B-side. The 12-inch single featured the radio, instrumental and a cappella versions of "Play That Funky Music" and the radio version and "Miami Drop" remix of "Ice Ice Baby". When a disc jockey played "Ice Ice Baby" instead of the single's A-side, the song gained more success than "Play That Funky Music". A music video for "Ice Ice Baby" was produced for $8000. The video was financed by Vanilla Ice's manager, Tommy Quon, and shot on the roof of a warehouse in Dallas, Texas.
