Train (album)

Train is the 1998 self-titled debut album from the band Train. The album was self-produced for $25,000 and three singles from the album were released. The first single released, "Free", was largely a hit on rock stations. The second, "Meet Virginia", peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the third single from the album was "I Am". The album has been certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Train (roller coaster)

A roller coaster train is a vehicle made up of two or more cars connected by specialized joints which transports passengers around a roller coaster's circuit.

It is called a train because the cars follow one another around the track, the same reason as for a railroad train. Individual cars vary in design and can carry from one to eight or more passengers each.

Many roller coasters operate more than one train, sometimes several, simultaneously. Typically they operate two trains at a time, with one train loading and unloading while the other train runs the course. On the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Walt Disney World, there are five trains, but only four operate at a time (the trains are rotated out on a regular basis for safety reasons).

Basic safety features

Roller coaster trains have wheels that run on the sides (side friction or guide wheels) and underneath the track (upstop, underfriction, or underlocking wheels) as well as on top of it (road or running wheels); these lock the train to the tracks and prevent it from jumping the track. The side wheels can be mounted on the outside or inside of the train, depending on the manufacturer (although outside-mounted wheels are more common). The wheels are sometimes located between the cars, as well as at the front and rear of the entire train.

Train (clothing)

In clothing, a train describes the long back portion of a skirt, overskirt, or dress that trails behind the wearer. It is a common part of a woman's court dress, formal evening gowns or wedding dress.

In the Roman Catholic Church the cappa magna (literally, "great cape"), a form of mantle, is a voluminous ecclesiastical vestment with a long train. Cardinals, bishops, and certain other honorary prelates are entitled to wear the cappa magna.

TCG (album)

TCG (short for "The Cheetah Girls") is the second studio album by The Cheetah Girls. The album was released on Hollywood Records on September 25, 2007.

Background

The Girls began work on the album while touring the U.S. on their The Party's Just Begun Tour which began in September 2006 and ended in March 2007.

Group member Adrienne Bailon was quoted as saying, "We'll be making a real studio album, not a soundtrack. It's important for people to see us as a real musical group. We have all this great marketing around us, with the movies and other things. But we are a musical group." She also added that the soundtracks and Christmas album "don't count".

Group member Sabrina Bryan was interviewed by Billboard magazine and stated that the group was eager to showcase a more mature sound to gather an audience of older fans while keeping the lyrics clean for the younger fanbase as well. She stated that the group would work with some of the producers that they had previously worked with, while also exploring new producers as well. They also announced that they'd be releasing the album via Hollywood Records rather than Walt Disney Records, which was the record labels used to release the group's soundtrack albums, their holiday album Cheetah-licious Christmas, and their live album In Concert: The Party's Just Begun Tour.

Homesick (Deacon Blue album)

Homesick is a studio album from the Scottish rock band Deacon Blue. Released in May 2001, it was the band's fifth or sixth studio album (depending on whether you count the part-studio, part-compilation; 1999's 'Walking Back Home' album). It was recorded in Glasgow and represents the last recordings by the entire original band; preceding their split, caused by the tragic early death of Graeme Kelling

A promotional CD was made available to readers of The Daily Telegraph via a voucher appearing in the newspaper two weeks before the album release date. This contained three tracks from the album (Silverlake, This Train Will Take You Anywhere, and Homesick, the last in an exclusive acoustic mix), and three other tracks (Away, Wages Day, and Dignity).

Unknown Road

Unknown Road is the second album by Pennywise, released on August 17, 1993 through Epitaph Records. After frontman Jim Lindberg briefly left the band during touring in support of its previous album, Pennywise (1991), Pennywise began the recording sessions for their second album. Released a year before the success of punk rock in California, Unknown Road gained Pennywise supporting slots on national and world tours with bands such as The Offspring (who was just about to hit the mainstream with then-new album Smash). Some archived footage of the Unknown Road tour dates can be seen on the band's 1995 documentary Home Movies.

Like their self-titled debut album Pennywise, Unknown Road failed to chart in Billboard magazine. This would be Pennywise's last uncharted album to date.
