Big & Rich are an American country music duo composed of Big Kenny and John Rich, both of whom are songwriters, vocalists, and guitarists. Big Kenny was formerly a solo artist on Hollywood Records while Rich was a founding member of the country music band Lonestar and later a solo artist for BNA Records.
Their first studio album, Horse of a Different Color, was released in 2004. This album produced four straight Top 40 country hits, including the number 11 "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)", plus collaborations with Cowboy Troy, Gretchen Wilson, and Martina McBride. Comin' to Your City was released in November 2005 followed by another Top 20 single the Vietnam War-inspired "8th of November", and two more Top 40 hits. Joining the duo on this album were Cowboy Troy, Wilson, and Kris Kristofferson. Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace, released in 2007, produced the their first number-one single, "Lost in This Moment". Both before and during the duo's hiatus, Rich has worked as a producer and songwriter for several other artists.
Holy water is water that has been blessed by a member of the clergy or a religious figure. The use for cleansing prior to a baptism and spiritual cleansing is common in several religions, from Christianity to Sikhism. The use of holy water as a sacramental for protection against evil is common among Anglicans and Roman Catholics.
In Catholicism, Anglicanism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Oriental Orthodoxy and some other churches, holy water is water that has been sanctified by a priest for the purpose of baptism, the blessing of persons, places, and objects, or as a means of repelling evil.
The use of holy water in the earliest days of Christianity is attested to only in somewhat later documents. The Apostolic constitutions, which go back to about the year 400, attribute the precept of using holy water to the Apostle Matthew. It is plausible that in earliest Christian times water was used for expiatory and purificatory purposes in a way analogous to its employment in Jewish Law. Yet, in many cases, the water used for the Sacrament of Baptism was flowing water, sea or river water, and it could not receive the same blessing as that contained in the baptisteries in the view of the Roman Catholic church. However, Eastern Orthodox do perform the same blessing, whether in a baptistry or an outdoor body of water.

"Holy Water" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music duo Big & Rich. It was released in September 2004 as the third single from debut album Horse of a Different Color. It reached number 15 on the U.S. Billboard US Country chart. The song was written by Big Kenny, John Rich, Vicky McGehee and Jeff Cohen.
The duo wrote the song in honor of their sisters, both of whom had been affected by domestic abuse.
The music video was directed by Deaton-Flanigen and Marc Oswald. It premiered in November 2004. It first shows an intro, with Rich and Big Kenny's sister. The rest of the video is of the duo playing, interspersed with images of women who have - presumably - been victims of abuse.
"Holy Water" debuted at 51 on the U.S Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks for the week of October 2, 2004.
Baby, when I look at you
With them baby blues
Cutting right through me
You set me on the rewind
Back to the good times
When you couldn't get enough of me
I guess I'm givin' myself away
Sayin' all the things I never did say
I lose myself, there's nothin' else
I could do, baby, when I look at you
Yeah, baby, when I look at you
Last thing I thought I'd see
Was you across the bar from me
And holdin' on to that turkey bottle
Shootin' 'em down and runnin' full throttle
Oh, I can still taste the last time
You and me and nothin' but the tan lines
Keeps running through my mind
On and on and on and on and
Baby, when I look at you
With them baby blues
Cutting right through me
You set me on the rewind
Back to the good times
When you couldn't get enough of me
I guess I'm givin' myself away
Sayin' all the things I never did say
I lose myself, there's nothin' else
I could do, baby, when I look at you
Yeah, baby, when I look at you
Well, I know you know I'm watching
Your low cut on the dance floor rocking
Got the whole place worked up and locked in
With every move so sexy, it's shockin'
Girl, you sure do know how to serve it
The way I did ya, Lord, I deserve it
You know my heart, you know how to hurt it
On and on and on and on and
Baby, when I look at you
With them baby blues
Cutting right through me
You set me on the rewind
Back to the good times
When you couldn't get enough of me
I guess I'm givin' myself away
Sayin' all the things I never did say
I lose myself, there's nothin' else
I could do, baby, when I look at you
Yeah, baby, when I look at you
Well, I could start a tab and run it up
Or close it out and head to my truck
And drive away as fast as I can
And forget we ever loved
Baby, when I look at you
With them baby blues
Cutting right through me
You set me on the rewind
Back to the good times
When you couldn't get enough of me
I guess I'm givin' myself away
Sayin' all the things I never did say
I lose myself, there's nothin' else
I could do, oh, I lose myself, there's nothin' else
I could do, baby, when I look at you
Yeah, baby, when I look at you
Baby, when I look at you
With them baby blues
They're cuttin' right through me
