Hold Everything!

Hold Everything! is a musical comedy with book by John McGowan and B. G. de Sylva, lyrics by Lew Brown and B. G. de Sylva, and music by Ray Henderson.

Produced by Alex A. Aarons and Vinton Freedley, the Broadway production opened on 10 October 1928 at the Broadhurst Theatre for a total run of 409 performances. The cast included Bert Lahr, Jack Whiting, Ona Munson and Victor Moore.

Bert Lahr’s career as a star began with this show. This most famous song from the show is “You're the Cream in My Coffee”. In 1930, Warner Brothers produced a movie version Hold Everything filmed entirely in Technicolor. This film version is now considered a lost film.

George Jones singles discography

George Jones was an American country music singer-songwriter who has been widely regarded as The Greatest Country Music Singer, and an extremely influential one. His voice has became iconic to country, as he inspired artists like Ricky Van Shelton, Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Patty Loveless, and even other artiste like: Gram Parsons and Bob Dylan.

George Jones' first releases were made in 1954, and then he was a 22-year old honky-tonk Hank Williams imitator who couldn't find his own image. It wasn't until the early-mid 1960's that his voice matured into his very own, and he released multiple #1 hits. During the 1960s, he was one of the buisest recording artists in country music. It was during the late-70's that Jones became a 'has-been', as he spent his depressed, drug and alcohol filled nights, missing concerts and tours often. He became revitalized after meeting his fourth wife, Nancy Sepulvado, and when he released his most famous classic: "He Stopped Loving Her Today." The song resumed Jones' success and just as he had gotten clean of his near-fatal cocaine addiction. Since the song's release, which has been titled as The Greatest Country Song, Jones has become a beloved figure in music. When he died in April 2013, he had charted more songs than any other country music artists ever.

Fires (Nerina Pallot album)

Fires is the second album by London-born singer-songwriter Nerina Pallot. First released in April 2005 on her own independent record label, Idaho Records, Fires was met with much critical acclaim but did not gain commercial recognition.

After working as a support act for artists such as Sheryl Crow and Suzanne Vega, Pallot was signed up to 14th Floor Records, who were impressed with the audience response and after-show sales of her album. Thus, Fires was reissued in late April 2006 with revamped artwork and some slight remixes on some of Pallot's songs. The album entered at UK #41 and later, on the strength of the popular single "Everybody's Gone to War", made it as far as #21.

To date, the album has been certified gold in the UK for sales of over 100,000, and has earned Pallot a nomination at the 2007 BRIT Awards for Best British Female. As of 4 October 2009, the album has sold 138,563 copies in the UK.
