Road Wild

Road Wild (originally known as Hog Wild) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) that was held from 1996 to 1999. It was a free event held in Sturgis, South Dakota during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. After the first event, WCW changed the name to Road Wild because of a potential trademark issue with the Harley-Davidson club Harley Owners Group (HOG). In 2000, it was replaced by New Blood Rising. Hulk Hogan was featured in the main event of all four editions of the event. Since 2001, WWE (through its subsidiary WCW, Inc.) owns the rights to the event.

WrestleCrap writer Art O'Donnell criticised the event as a "financial blunder" and said that WCW held "a yearly pay-per-view at a biker rally with zero live gate just because Eric [Bischoff] loves motorcycles".

Hog Wild

Hog Wild took place on August 10, 1996 from the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. The VHS cover featured Hulk Hogan in his Hulkster pose despite the fact that he, along with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, formed the nWo one month prior and began being billed as Hollywood. The first eight matches aired on WCW Saturday Night on TBS. This event happened on a Saturday, instead of the normal Sunday night.

Plot

Ollie wants to join Stan for an afternoon of fun, but his wife has other ideas. She demands he install the radio antenna atop their roof, a job he has been neglecting for several weeks. Soon, Stan stops by to "help" his friend. After destroying Hardy's chimney and falling from the roof several times, they perch a ladder in the back seat of Stan's car. The car shifts into gear, and speeds uncontrollably through city with Ollie still atop the ladder.

Mrs. Hardy catches up to them on foot after the car is finally stopped, Hardy having been tossed into the street with the ladder. The three attempt to return home while Laurel tries all kinds of noisy things to get the car restarted, including blowing the horn twice. A trolley car approaches them at high speed and two women and a policeman cover their eyes as a loud crash is heard. The result is the car is squashed between two trolleys and they have to drive home in the mangled car.
