The following highways are numbered 79:
Route 79 is a highway in eastern Missouri. Its northern terminus is at Interstate 72/U.S. Route 36 in downtown Hannibal; its southern terminus is at Interstate 70 in St. Peters. The route closely parallels the Mississippi River.
When Route 79 was created in about 1930, it replaced the north–south section of Route 56, which had been created in 1922 between Troy and O'Fallon. The part of Route 56 west of Winfield became an extension of Route 47.
State Trunk Highway 79 (often called Highway 79, STH 79 or WIS 79) is a 17.63-mile (28.37 km) state highway in Dunn County in the west central part of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The highway runs from U.S. Route 12 northwest of the city of Menomonie north to Wisconsin Highway 64 in Connorsville. WIS 79 is maintained by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
WIS 79 begins at an intersection with US 12 in the Town of Menomonie, northwest of the city of Menomonie. From here, the highway heads north across a Union Pacific Railroad line and passes through farmland. The route continues north into the Town of Sherman, where it intersects County Highway J. After crossing into the Town of Stanton, WIS 79 enters the village of Boyceville. The highway passes the Boyceville Municipal Airport before intersecting WIS 170; it follows this highway west for 430 feet (130 m) before turning northward. WIS 79 crosses a Canadian National Railway line and Tiffany Creek before leaving Boyceville and entering the Town of Tiffany. In Tiffany, the route intersects County Highway N before crossing the South Fork Hay River, after which it roughly follows the river northwest. After meeting County Highway O and crossing into the Town of New Haven, WIS 79 enters the community of Connorsville, where it terminates at WIS 64; the road continues northward as County Highway K.
Don't bother sittin at my table
Just because I'm on my own
Yes I'm a woman and I'm lonely
But that don't mean I can't be strong
Once again he's not beside me
And tonight he won't be coming home
So I just need a place to miss my baby
When he goes out to do me wrong
Tonight I wanna do some drinkin'
I came to listen to the band
Yes I'm as good as what you're thinkin'
But I don't wanna hold your hand
And I know I'm lookin lonely
But there's nothin' here I wanna find
It's just the way of a woman
When she goes out to walk the line
Every night's a little longer
Than the one that came before
But when I hear them sing a sad song
I know just what I'm cryin' for
I don't wanna stay home waitin'
Don't have to wonder where he's been
He'll be someone else's baby
Before he's in my arms again
Tonight I wanna do some drinkin'
I came to listen to the band
Yes I'm as good as what you're thinkin'
But I don't wanna hold your hand
And I know I'm lookin lonely
But there's nothin' here I wanna find
It's just the way of a woman
When she goes out to walk the line
It's just the way of a woman
