High Kick!

High Kick! (Hangul: 거침없이 하이킥; RR: Geochimeopsi Haikik; lit. "High Kick without Hesitation", "Unstoppable High Kick", or "Smooth High Kick") was a popular South Korean situation comedy revolving around the life of the Lee family, taking place in Seoul at the same time as the broadcast (Winter, 2006 - Summer, 2007). The title of the show "High Kick!" has several implications, one of which is the oft-depicted high kicks of Yoon-ho, one of the main characters. The show aired in South Korea from Monday to Friday in sitcom format. Due to its popularity, the show filmed more episodes than were initially planned. Many of the characters starred in commercials and advertisements in Korea. The show's popularity also led to High Kick Through the Roof, which aired in 2009-2010, and High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged, which aired in 2011-2012.

High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged

High Kick 3: Revenge of the Short Legged (Hangul: 하이킥! : 짧은 다리의 역습; RR: Haikik: Jjalbeun Dariui Yeokseup) is a South Korean sitcom that aired from 2011 to 2012. Revolving around the lives of the Ahn family and their neighbors, it explores the lives of people who are down and out and how they manage to recover.

Plot

The story is narrated by Lee Jeok. It is 2041 and he has released a best selling novel called "High Kick: Revenge of the Short-legged". The book describes his experience with the Ahn's and Ji-won's households, the primary plot being the Ahn family's financial hardship.

The drama begins when Nae-sang's business partner, who has embezzled funds from the company, flees the country and leaves behind a mountain of debts and a horde of angry creditors. Faced with the prospect of going to debtors' prison, Nae-sang frantically collects his family (his wife in the middle of a massage session, his son during an ice hockey match and his daughter who had just arrived from LA) and escapes to the countryside.

High Kick! (season 2)

High Kick Through The Roof (지붕뚫고 하이킥; Jibungttulgo Haikik, literal translation: "High Kick Through The Roof") was a popular South Korean situational comedy revolving around the life of the Lee family. The daily drama was set in Seoul at the same time as the broadcast (Autumn, 2009 - Spring, 2010). The title of the show references several things, one of which is the high kicks of Hyun-kyung, one of the main characters. As usual for Korean dramas, it was broadcast nightly on weeknights. Due to its popularity, the show filmed more episodes than was initially planned. Many of the actors and actresses rose to fame as a result of this drama.

Park Chan-yeol

Son Yeo-eun (손여은, Son Yeo-eun) : One of Ji-hoon’s early blind dates, set up for him by Hyun-kyung. Unfortunately, Yeo-eun is exposed to Ji-hoon’s less-than-charming social obliviousness as he notes her jaundiced eyes and inquires in public whether her urine is brown and bubbly. Her cameo ends with her furious reaction to Ji-hoon as he ignores her to watch an important baseball game.
