Higashi-Hanazono Station (東花園駅) is a train station on the Kintetsu Nara Line in Higashiosaka, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It is the nearest station to Kintetsu Hanazono Rugby Stadium.

There is an island platform between 2 westbound tracks on the ground, and an island platform between 2 eastbound tracks elevated. The station has 2 platforms and 4 tracks in total.

History [link]

  • 1929 - The station opened at the same time with Hanazono Rugby Stadium. The station at the time is only used for Rugby game season, and was named Rugby-Undoujō-mae Station (ラグビー運動場前駅?)
  • 1941 - Osaka Electric Tramway merged with Sangu Kyuko Electric Railway and becomes a station of Kansai Kyuko Electric Railway
  • 1944 - Kankyu became Kintetsu and the station becomes part of Kintetsu
  • 1950 - The station was renamed to Rugby-Jō-mae Station (ラグビー場前駅?)
  • 1967 - The station became a regular station and is renamed Higashi-Hanazono
  • 1967 - Higashi-Hanazono Train Depot was completed
  • 2006 - Promoted to a Semi Express stop and a Suburban Semi Express stop
  • 2007 - Starts using PiTaPa
