Shang dynasty

The Shang dynasty (Chinese: 商朝; pinyin: Shāng cháo) or Yin dynasty (Chinese: 殷代; pinyin: Yīn dài), according to traditional historiography, ruled in the Yellow River valley in the second millennium BC, succeeding the Xia dynasty and followed by the Zhou dynasty. The classic account of the Shang comes from texts such as the Book of Documents, Bamboo Annals and Records of the Grand Historian. According to the traditional chronology based upon calculations made approximately 2,000 years ago by Liu Xin, the Shang ruled from 1766 to 1122 BC, but according to the chronology based upon the "current text" of Bamboo Annals, they ruled from 1558 to 1046 BC. The Xia–Shang–Zhou Chronology Project dated them from c. 1600 to 1046 BC.

Archaeological work at the Ruins of Yin (near modern-day Anyang), which has been identified as the last Shang capital, uncovered eleven major Yin royal tombs and the foundations of palaces and ritual sites, containing weapons of war and remains from both animal and human sacrifices. Tens of thousands of bronze, jade, stone, bone, and ceramic artifacts have been obtained.

TZU

TZU (pronounced Tee Zed Yoo) is an Australian hip hop group, formed in Melbourne, Victoria. TZU uses instruments in live performances, giving their shows a rock-infused feeling.

History

Formation

The group formed in 1999 as a side project, combining members of the groups Curse ov Dialect and Pan. The name TZU is taken from the Chinese philosopher, Lao Tzu. The band originally called itself "Tzu" (pronounced tsoo), but changed its name due to the common mispronunciation of "T-Z-U". In 2005, keyboard player, Duzy What, was added to the group's lineup.

Reception

TZU has received regular Triple J airplay of Position Correction and Smiling at Strangers. In early 2006, they won Yahoo! Music's "Who's Next" monthly music poll.

Live

The group has performed at festivals such as the Big Day Out, Falls Festival, MS Fest and the Meredith Music Festival, in addition to smaller shows.

Hey! is an album by Julio Iglesias. It was released in 1980 by Columbia Records. The album hit number one worldwide, and sales of the Spanish version purportedly surpassed 20 million. In 1981, Iglesias was nominated for a Grammy Award for the album under the Latin Pop Album category.

Hey! is the debut studio album by Brazilian recording artist Jullie. It was released on September 22, 2009 by Deckdisc. After writing songs for several established acts, Jullie released this album. The main theme of the songs is girl power. The songs are mostly inspired by Jullie's love of youth, rebellion, and discover who you are in 4.modern lifestyle. Musically, the album drew inspiration from pop and pop rock influenced by singers like Lily Allen, Madonna, Alanis Morissette, and its main reference, Katy Perry, directed to a feminist position. The album was praised by the young, calling Jullie as "Brazilian Katy Perry" for his music style and way of dressing. The first single "Alice" was released in April and the second single "Hey!" was released in November, 2009.
