Hey DJ is a film directed by Miguel Delgado and Jon Jacobs, produced by Agostino Carollo and Joe Chavez and starring Jon Jacobs, Charlotte Lewis, Tina Wiseman, Ivelin Giro and Terry Camilleri. It features the appearance of superstar DJs Carl Cox, Tiësto, Bob Sinclar, Ferry Corsten, Spankox, Marco V, Pete Tong and many others. Original movie soundtrack by Agostino Carollo aka Spankox.[1]

Hey DJ chronicles the journeys of DJ Hound. From Miami to Ibiza he struggles to break into the club scene. With the support and advice of some of the best DJs in the world he tries to find the night (and the love) of his life. The movie, filmed in and around such clubs as Space Miami and Pacha Ibiza features the appearance of Carl Cox, Tiësto, Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell, Bob Sinclar, Pete Tong, Spankox, Anne Savage, Marc Aurel, Kai Tracid, Lisa Lashes, Chris Cox, Robbie Rivera, Kevens, Ferry Corsten, Junior Jack, Marco V and 80's rock star Annabella Lwin from Bow Wow Wow.

Hey DJ

"Hey! DJ" is a song by The World's Famous Supreme Team. Writing is credited to Larry Price (Sedivine the Mastermind) & Ronald Larkins Jr. (Just Allah the Superstar) and it was produced by Stephen Hague. Released on 12" in 1984 on Island Records, there were three mixes included. The song refers with small lyric parts to McLaren & Supreme Team's previous hit, "Buffalo Gals", which the group featured on. "Hey DJ" peaked at number fifteen on the US soul chart.

  • In 1994, the rap duo A Lighter Shade of Brown recorded a version of the song, which was included in the film Mi Vida Loca. This version peaked at number sixty-seven on the soul chart and number forty-three on the Hot 100.
  • The song was sampled on Mariah Carey's 1997 hit single, "Honey". Carey has stated that "Hey DJ" was always one of her favorite songs.
  • The song was also sampled in the Beastie Boys song "Alright Hear This", which was included on the 1994 album Ill Communication.
  • AZ sampled the song for "Hey AZ" featuring SWV.
