Spot (producer)

Spot, (born Glen Lockett in 1951), is a record producer best known for being the house producer and engineer for the influential independent punk record label SST Records. He recorded, mixed, produced or co-produced most of SST's pivotal acts between 1979 and 1985. He is credited on albums by such notable bands as Black Flag, Minutemen, Meat Puppets, Hüsker Dü, Saint Vitus, Descendents, Minor Threat, Misfits, Big Boys and The Dicks. Spot has also produced several acts outside of SST and started his own label, No Auditions, in 1987. An accomplished musician and multi-instrumentalist, Spot later retired from producing to concentrate on performing, releasing his own material on No Auditions and, in 2000, on Upland Records (a label owned by former members of Descendents). He also played fidola on This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb's "Dance Party With...".

  • SpoT

SpoT is a bacterial protein that hydrolizes alarmones, (p)ppGpp, in the bacterial stringent response. Its hydrolase activity is Mn2+-dependent with a conserved His-Asp (HD) motif. In E. coli, SpoT protein consists of 693 amino acids. SpoT belongs to the RSH protein family. It is bifunctional, has both hydrolase and synthase activities. When relA is deleted, E. coli still can produce (p)ppGpp by SpoT.

SpoT can sense many sources of nutrient stress other than amino acid starvation and to respond by limiting hydrolase. The acyl carrier protein (ACP) binds to the TGS domain of SpoT; this binding is probably influenced by the ratio of unacylated ACP to acylated ACP in the cell. Fatty acid starvation leads to a shift in the balance of the two SpoT activities in favor of synthesis. Phosphate starvation is sensed by SpoT hydrolase to elevate (p)ppGpp, which induces IraP, a RssB antiadaptor that antagonizes RssB activation of RpoS turnover, thereby inducing RpoS.

    Guy (Final Fight)

Guy (ガイ Gai) is a video game character who first appeared in the 1989 arcade beat-em-up Final Fight by Capcom. Guy, along with other Final Fight series characters, has also been a recurring player character in the Street Fighter fighting game series since Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams in 1995. Guy is a crimson-clad ninpō master of Japanese descent who has been taught the Bushin (武神 Warrior God) form of ninjutsu. The kanji, 武神, written on Guy's top literally translates to "God of War".

In the original Final Fight he aides his friend Cody as well as Metro City Mayor Mike Haggar in rescuing Jessica, who is Haggar's daughter and Cody's girlfriend. Guy was excluded from the SNES version of the game, but a special version replacing Cody with Guy was also released. While he is not a playable character in the sequel Final Fight 2, Guy factors into the storyline as his girlfriend and her father are captured. Guy returned to the Final Fight series as selectable character in Final Fight 3. He also appears in Final Fight: Streetwise, but is not playable in the game's story mode. His sister-in-law is Maki Genryusai, who was introduced as one of the protagonists of Final Fight 2.

  • List of Fire Emblem (video game) characters

This is a character guide for the Game Boy Advance game Fire Emblem. Each character has his or her class labeled. A class is a category within the Fire Emblem series that outlines a unit's characteristics. Along with the character's class is their "promotion class" the class that the character will upgrade to upon promotion. If a character has no promotion class, it means that they were already promoted when recruited into the party. Also mentioned for some characters are "supports." Supports are side conversations between characters which can result in statistical bonuses and character development (see here for more information about supports).

    Main characters

    Hey! (Jullie album)

Hey! is the debut studio album by Brazilian recording artist Jullie. It was released on September 22, 2009 by Deckdisc. After writing songs for several established acts, Jullie released this album. The main theme of the songs is girl power. The songs are mostly inspired by Jullie's love of youth, rebellion, and discover who you are in 4.modern lifestyle. Musically, the album drew inspiration from pop and pop rock influenced by singers like Lily Allen, Madonna, Alanis Morissette, and its main reference, Katy Perry, directed to a feminist position. The album was praised by the young, calling Jullie as "Brazilian Katy Perry" for his music style and way of dressing. • Hey (interjection)

Hey is an interjection usually used in the English language as a summonsing or attention-getting device. It is usually marked with an exclamation point. It is also one example of an interjection that speakers may use to express surprise. Some, such as the American grammarian Goold Brown, have suggested that the interjection "Hey" could be a corruption of the adjective "Sigh".
