So Good (TV series)

So Good (Chinese: 蘇GOOD) is a 2008 till 2010 cooking series/variety program produced by TVB and WellFit Productiopns Ltd., also sponsored by Town Gas. This is the first TVB program that had an outsourced production company.

Originally intended to be a 10 series cooking series, So Good became a hit amongst audiences in Hong Kong and abroad resulting in additional episodes added with 99 episodes total when the series ended. The show is hosted by So Sze Wong and the 99 episodes aired from 22 September 2008 to 2 October 2009.

Presenters

So was a popular Cable TV Hong Kong cooking show before she was signed on with TVB. She is also a local radio DJ.

88.1 FM DJ Taishan (泰山) is a former co-host of the program, but he disappears in later episodes. So also parts way with assistant Kendy Lee, a former model.

Format

The show features Cantonese cuisine from Hong Kong, Macau and China. The show consists of two segments, the first introduces the ingredients and the second consists of the actual process of cooking of the ingredients.

So Good (Bratz song)

"So Good" is a single by Bratz from Bratz: Rock Angelz It managed to chart in Australia and the United Kingdom. It peaked at #14 in Australia, and #23 on the UK Singles Chart . "So Good" was nominated for an Emmy of Outstanding Original Song for a Children's/Animated Show. It is performed by Roxxi.

Spanish version

"Se Siente" is the spanish version of the "So Good" single by Bratz. The first song on the CD is "So Good" and the second song is "Girls Night Out".

So Good (Mica Paris album)

So Good is the debut album by British recording artist Mica Paris. It was released on 27 August 1988 by 4th & B'way Records.

The album was a commercial success, peaking at number six on the UK Albums Chart and also appearing stateside on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. So Good was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), denoting shipments of over 300,000 copies in the UK.

Four singles were released from the album, all of which reached the top-thirty of the UK Singles Chart. "My One Temptation" was chosen as the album's lead single, becoming a top-ten hit in the UK and also peaking within the top-twenty of the Irish Singles and US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. It was her first and remains her only entry on the US Hot 100. The album's fourth and final single is a cover of the Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway single "Where Is The Love" and features American singer-songwriter Will Downing.

Reception

Critical response

So Good achieved generally positive reviews from critics. In a retrospective review, Allmusic editor, Alex Henderson praised Paris's "fine range", describing her as an "earthy singer" and compared her to American singer Natalie Cole. Furthermore, he wrote that Paris "is among the many noteworthy talents to come out of Britain's healthy R&B scene of the 1980s and '90s". Henderson listed "the haunting 'My One Temptation,' the jazz-influenced 'Sway (Dance the Blues Away)' and the sizzling 'Nothing Hits Your Heart like Soul Music'" as the album's "more noteworthy cuts" but commented that "'Where Is the Love'... makes it crystal clear that she's quite capable of depth" and "does the most to test what Paris is truly made of".

Origin (Borknagar album)

Origin is Borknagar's seventh studio album, and is primarily an acoustic effort. Origin explores the band's more progressive and traditional elements.

Following his brief departure from the band during the recording sessions of Epic, this album would mark bassist Tyr's rejoining of the band.

"Oceans Rise" is an acoustic remake of the original which appeared on their 1998 release The Archaic Course.

Origin (mathematics)

In mathematics, the origin of a Euclidean space is a special point, usually denoted by the letter O, used as a fixed point of reference for the geometry of the surrounding space.

Cartesian coordinates

In a Cartesian coordinate system, the origin is the point where the axes of the system intersect. The origin divides each of these axes into two halves, a positive and a negative semiaxis. Points can then be located with reference to the origin by giving their numerical coordinates—that is, the positions of their projections along each axis, either in the positive or negative direction. The coordinates of the origin are always all zero, for example (0,0) in two dimensions and (0,0,0) in three.

In a polar coordinate system, the origin may also be called the pole. It does not itself have well-defined polar coordinates, because the polar coordinates of a point include the angle made by the positive x-axis and the ray from the origin to the point, and this ray is not well-defined for the origin itself.

Origin (digital distribution software)

Origin is an online gaming, digital distribution and digital rights management (DRM) platform developed by Electronic Arts that allows users to purchase games on the internet for PC and mobile platforms, and download them with the Origin client (formerly EA Download Manager, EA Downloader and EA Link). Origin for Mac has been available since February 8, 2013.

Origin features social features like profile management, networking with friends with chat and direct game joining along with an in-game overlay, streaming via TwitchTV and sharing of game library and community integration with networking sites like Facebook, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and Nintendo Network. Electronic Arts has stated that it wanted Origin to match Valve's Steam service, Origin's leading competitor, by the end of March 2012, by adding cloud game saves, auto-patching, achievements and rewards, and cross-platform releases. Origin has over 50 million registered users.
