!Hero (album)

!Hero is an album featuring the songs from the rock opera, !Hero. It is based on the question, "What if Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania?" The rock opera modernizes Jesus' last two years on earth and features a cast of many well-known Christian artists with Michael Tait, Rebecca St. James, and Mark Stuart as the three main characters: Hero (Jesus), Maggie (Mary Magdalene), and Petrov (Peter).

Hero (1984 film)

Hero is a Tollywood film that was directed by Vijaya Bapineedu and produced by Allu Aravind. This film starred Chiranjeevi, Radhika, and Rao Gopal Rao in important roles. This film released on 23 April 1984.

Plot

Chiranjeevi plays an archeologist Krishna, who comes to a village in seasaves Kanakaraju. They become his friend and also treat him as their philosopher and guide. Meanwhile Radhika, a village belle, falls for him and forces him to marry her. When Krishna refuses, she successfully enerts the role of a rape victim in front of the villagers. Krishna later learns that Kanakraju was in fact Kondababu, who killed Vikram, who was searching a plan for the hidden treasure. How Krishna plans and exposes Kanakaraju's reality forms thhe rest of the story.

Hero (magazine)

HERO Magazine was an American glossy bimonthly gay magazine co-founded in 1997 by Sam Jensen Page and Paul Horne. The magazine stopped publication in January 2002. It was based in Los Angeles.

Overview

The magazine rode the wave of the "mainstreaming" of gay culture and was the first gay magazine to be classified as "highly recommended" by Library Journal. It published the first automotive column in a national gay magazine, the first gay man's wedding guide, etc. HERO turned away from the "sex sells" attitude of many other gay publications, and did not accept adult or tobacco advertising. The magazine was also more inclusive of couples and men over 40 than other gay men's magazines at the time.

After fast growth in its first 3 years, the magazine's financial backing was frozen after September 11, 2001, and the publication ceased operations in January 2002. Parent company HERO Media continues to develop other online and print publications, including SpaTravelGuy.com.

The Boston Tea Party (initially referred to by John Adams as "the Destruction of the Tea in Boston") was a political protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston, on December 16, 1773. The demonstrators, some disguised as Native Americans, destroyed an entire shipment of tea sent by the East India Company, in defiance of the Tea Act of May 10, 1773. They boarded the ships and threw the chests of tea into Boston Harbor. The British government responded harshly and the episode escalated into the American Revolution. The Tea Party became an iconic event of American history, and other political protests such as the Tea Party movement after 2010 explicitly refer to it.

The Tea Party was the culmination of a resistance movement throughout British America against the Tea Act, which had been passed by the British Parliament in 1773. Colonists objected to the Tea Act because they believed that it violated their rights as Englishmen to "No taxation without representation," that is, be taxed only by their own elected representatives and not by a British parliament in which they were not represented. Protesters had successfully prevented the unloading of taxed tea in three other colonies, but in Boston, embattled Royal Governor Thomas Hutchinson refused to allow the tea to be returned to Britain.

SAS (Action Force)

SAS Force is a fictional special forces military unit originated and designed by Palitoy as part of their Action Force range of 3 3/4 inch action figures and vehicles; similar to the G.I. Joe action figures and featured in a comic book series called Battle Action Force.

Graphic Representation

The SAS characters and their representative figures and vehicles were based on the SAS and SBS special forces regiments of the British, New Zealand and Australian armed forces. The Action Force characters were devised around the time of the Iranian Embassy Siege (later depicted in the movie Who Dares Wins) when the SAS were extremely highly regarded in the British popular media.

the unit was introduced as part of the second generation of Action Force (see Action Force – second generation) although there was a single SAS figure in the first generation of Action Force. The graphic representation of the SAS Force characters and vehicles borrowed heavily from their real-world counterparts by using the dark garb of the SAS and SBS units while on urban counter terrorism duties (and made popular by the Iranian Embassy Siege), although adding yellow for some of the armaments and insignia. Despite taking its name from the SAS units of the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, the SAS unit was written as a single multi-national fighting force including soldiers from Britain, the USA, Mexico, Canada, Iceland and Belgium among others.

Dane-zaa

The Dane-zaa (ᑕᓀᖚ, also spelled Dunne-za, or Tsattine), historically referred to as the Beaver tribe by Europeans, are an Athabaskan-speaking groups of First Nations people. Their traditional territory is around the Peace River in Alberta and British Columbia, Canada. Today, about 1,000 Dane-zaa reside in British Columbia and perhaps half of them speak the Danezaa language. Approximately 2,000 Dane-zaa live in Alberta.

Name

The name Tsattine has been translated to "Those who live among the beaver." The spelling Dane-zaa is typically used for "the Real People." That spelling is used by the Dane-zaa Language Authority. Different tribes and First Nations use different spellings. For example, the Doig River First Nation (DRFN) and Halfway River First Nation (HRFN) use Dane-Zaa. Prophet River First Nation (PRFN) uses Dunne Tsaa; and the West Moberly First Nations (WMFNs) use Dunne-za or Dunne Za. Where other spellings are used in citations, such as Dunne-Za (e.g., Ridington 1988), they are kept intact and are synonymous with Dane-zaa.
