Henry Anderson (13 October 1803 – 18 September 1873) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for the Marylebone Cricket Club, A to K, Single and the Sir St Vincent Cotton's XI. His highest score of 13 came when playing for the Marylebone Cricket Club in the match against Middlesex.

Henry Anderson (American football)

Henry Wyatt Anderson (born August 3, 1991) is an American football defensive end for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Stanford, and was drafted by the Colts in the third round of the 2015 NFL draft.

Early years

Anderson attended Woodward Academy in College Park, Georgia. He played football there under head coach Mark Miller, and he had 183 tackles and 20.5 sacks during his career. He totalled 81 tackles (14 for loss), 9.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and six pass breakups in 2009, leading Woodward Region 4AAA runner-up finish. He was named first team All-state in 2009 by the Atlanta Journal Constitution, was a three-time South Fulton Neighbor All-South Metro and a two-time All-4AAA Region pick. He played in the 2010 Offense-Defense All-American Bowl. He was rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and was ranked as the nation’s 27th-best defensive end prospect in his class by Rivals, 42nd according to Scout.com. He committed to Stanford University to play college football.

Henry Anderson (street vendor)

Henry Anderson (born 1800) was a Philadelphia-area street vendor known as The Hominy Man, who became a local legend, beginning in about 1828, for his cries, which he used to hawk his wares. His were said to be the "most musical of all cries", and he was noted for his "strong resonant 'tenor robusto'".

Henry Anderson (MP)

Sir Henry Anderson (born ca. 1582) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1614 and 1643. He supported the Royalist cause in the English Civil War.

Anderson was the son of Henry Anderson of Newcastle, Northumberland. He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford on 24 November 1599, aged 17, when he was of Long Cowton, Yorkshire. He was of London when he was knighted at the house of Sir Thomas Hasilrig at Holmby Alderton on 4 August 1608. He was Mayor of Newcastle for 1613–14.

In 1614, Anderson was elected Member of Parliament for Newcastle upon Tyne. He was High Sheriff of Northumberland in 1615. He was re-elected MP for Newcastle in the elections of 1621, 1624, 1625 and 1626.

In November 1640, Anderson was elected MP for Newcastle upon Tyne in the Long Parliament and sat until he was disabled on 4 September 1643 for supporting the King.
