"Hello Sun" is a song by the Hungarian indie rock band Amber Smith. It is the second track and lead single from the band's third album, RePRINT (2005), released on Kalinkaland Records. Written by Imre Poniklo, the song uses a verse-chorus form.

Sun

The Sun (in Greek: Helios, in Latin: Sol) is the star at the center of the Solar System and is by far the most important source of energy for life on Earth. It is a nearly perfect spherical ball of hot plasma, with internal convective motion that generates a magnetic field via a dynamo process. Its diameter is about 109 times that of Earth, and it has a mass about 330,000 times that of Earth, accounting for about 99.86% of the total mass of the Solar System.About three quarters of the Sun's mass consists of hydrogen; the rest is mostly helium, with much smaller quantities of heavier elements, including oxygen, carbon, neon and iron.

The Sun is a G-type main-sequence star (G2V) based on spectral class and it is informally referred to as a yellow dwarf. It formed approximately 4.567 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of matter within a region of a large molecular cloud. Most of this matter gathered in the center, whereas the rest flattened into an orbiting disk that became the Solar System. The central mass became increasingly hot and dense, eventually initiating nuclear fusion in its core. It is thought that almost all stars form by this process.

Sun (Thomas Bergersen album)

Sun is the second stand-alone production album created by Thomas J. Bergersen from Two Steps from Hell, released on September 30, 2014. The release contains 16 tracks, featuring vocal performances by Merethe Soltvedt, Molly Conole and other vocalists. The album cover and artwork are designed by Bergersen himself. The album was announced for pre-order on September 9 across iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby, with the tracks "Empire of Angels," "Final Frontier," and "Starchild" made available on iTunes prior to the full release. In addition, a signed limited deluxe edition CD version has been scheduled for somewhere in 2015, set to include additional music, notes on each track written by Thomas, and a large-size poster featuring his artwork.

Sun (Cat Power album)

Sun is the ninth studio album by American musician Cat Power. Her first album of all-original material since 2006's The Greatest, it was released on September 3, 2012, in the United Kingdom and in the United States on September 4, 2012, via Matador Records. The album was issued in a variety of formats, including a limited edition deluxe LP containing a 7" vinyl of bonus tracks.

The album's lead single, "Ruin", was released for free download at Matador Record's store on June 20, 2012. A music video for album opener "Cherokee", directed by Marshall, was later released, while an ambient remix of the song by Nicolas Jaar is available to download from Cat Power's official website. The song was premièred on NPR's All Songs Considered on June 26, whose host Bob Boilen described the album as "[going in] yet another direction. A lot more drive, a lot more electronics, drum machines, synths—it's very bold."

On April 10, 2013, Cat Power performed the previously unreleased track "Bully" on the opening episode of the forty-second series of Later... with Jools Holland. Immediately following the broadcast, a new version of the album containing "Bully" as a bonus track was made available for download through iTunes.

Hello (Adele song)

"Hello" is a song by English singer Adele. It was released on 23 October 2015 by XL Recordings as the lead single from her third studio album, 25 (2015). Adele co-wrote the song with her producer, Greg Kurstin. "Hello" is a piano ballad with soul influences, and lyrics that discuss themes of nostalgia and regret. Upon release, the song was well received by music critics, who compared it favourably to Adele's previous work and praised the song's lyrics and Adele's vocals.

"Hello" attained international commercial success reaching number one in almost every country it charted in, including the United Kingdom, where it became her second UK number-one single, following "Someone like You", and has the largest opening week sales in three years. In the United States, "Hello" debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Adele's fourth number-one on the chart and breaking several records, including becoming the first song to sell over a million digital copies in a week.

The accompanying music video was directed by Xavier Dolan and co-stars Adele and Tristan Wilds. The music video for the song broke the Vevo Record by achieving over 27.7 million views within a 24-hour span, held previously by Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" which accumulated 20.1 million views in that timeframe. It also broke the record for shortest time to attain 100 million Vevo views, previously held by Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball", as well as shortest time to reach 1 billion YouTube views (88 days). Adele promoted the song with a live performance on a BBC one-hour special, entitled Adele at the BBC.

Erykah Badu

Erykah Abi Wright (born Erica Abi Wright; February 26, 1971), better known by her stage name Erykah Badu (/ˈɛrᵻkə bɑːˈduː/), is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, activist, and actress. Badu's career began after opening a show for D'Angelo in 1994 in her hometown; record label executive Kedar Massenburg was highly impressed with her performance and signed her to Kedar Entertainment. Her first album, Baduizm, was released on February 11, 1997. It spawned three singles: "On & On", "Next Lifetime" and "Otherside of the Game". The album was certified triple Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Badu's first live album, Live, was released on November 18, 1997 and was certified double Platinum by the RIAA.

Badu's second studio album, Mama's Gun, was released on October 31, 2000. It spawned three singles: "Bag Lady", "Didn't Cha Know?" and "Cleva". The album was certified Platinum by the RIAA. Badu's third album, Worldwide Underground, was released on September 16, 2003. It generated two singles: "Danger" and "Back in the Day (Puff)". The album was certified Gold by the RIAA. Badu's fourth album, New Amerykah Part One, was released on February 26, 2008. It spawned two singles: "Honey" and "Soldier". Hello (Martin Solveig song)

"Hello" is a song performed by French DJ and record producer Martin Solveig and Canadian synthpop band Dragonette, taken from the former's fifth studio album, Smash (2011). The song was released as the album's lead single on 6 September 2010 by Mercury Records.

It is Solveig's most successful single to date, peaking at number one in Austria, Belgium (Flanders), Czech Republic and the Netherlands, while charting within the top 10 in ten other countries. It also reached number one on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart in the United States. Additionally, the song charted at number 46 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April 2011; becoming Solveig's and Dragonette's first appearance on the chart. It has since been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of 500,000 units.

The song has been featured in 90210,The Vampire Diaries,Gossip Girl and in Tim Hortons' 2013 ad for their 'Roll up the Rim to Win' promotion. It also used as the intro theme to the TV series Cheer! on CMT. The song appears in the video game Dance Central 3.
