"Hello" is the second single released by singer-songwriter Poe. When first released, the single was a moderate success but fared much better on the charts when a remix of the song was introduced. The music video, which featured a The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari theme was co-directed by her brother, Mark Z. Danielewski.

Power over Ethernet

Power over Ethernet or PoE describes any of several standardized or ad-hoc systems which pass electrical power along with data on Ethernet cabling. This allows a single cable to provide both data connection and electrical power to devices such as wireless access points or IP cameras. Unlike standards such as Universal Serial Bus which also power devices over the data cables, PoE allows long cable lengths. Power may be carried on the same conductors as the data, or it may be carried on dedicated conductors in the same cable.

There are several common techniques for transmitting power over Ethernet cabling. Two of them have been standardized by IEEE 802.3. Since only two of the four pairs are needed for 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX, power may be transmitted on the unused conductors of a cable. In the IEEE standards, this is referred to as Alternative B. Power may also be transmitted on the data conductors by applying a common-mode voltage to each pair. Because twisted-pair Ethernet uses differential signalling, this does not interfere with data transmission. The common mode voltage is easily extracted using the center tap of the standard Ethernet pulse transformer. This is similar to the phantom power technique commonly used for powering audio microphones. In the IEEE standards, this is referred to as Alternative A.

Hello (Adele song)

"Hello" is a song by English singer Adele. It was released on 23 October 2015 by XL Recordings as the lead single from her third studio album, 25 (2015). Adele co-wrote the song with her producer, Greg Kurstin. "Hello" is a piano ballad with soul influences, and lyrics that discuss themes of nostalgia and regret. Upon release, the song was well received by music critics, who compared it favourably to Adele's previous work and praised the song's lyrics and Adele's vocals.

"Hello" attained international commercial success reaching number one in almost every country it charted in, including the United Kingdom, where it became her second UK number-one single, following "Someone like You", and has the largest opening week sales in three years. In the United States, "Hello" debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Adele's fourth number-one on the chart and breaking several records, including becoming the first song to sell over a million digital copies in a week.

The accompanying music video was directed by Xavier Dolan and co-stars Adele and Tristan Wilds. The music video for the song broke the Vevo Record by achieving over 27.7 million views within a 24-hour span, held previously by Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" which accumulated 20.1 million views in that timeframe. It also broke the record for shortest time to attain 100 million Vevo views, previously held by Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball", as well as shortest time to reach 1 billion YouTube views (88 days). Adele promoted the song with a live performance on a BBC one-hour special, entitled Adele at the BBC.

Relapse (Eminem album)

Relapse is the sixth studio album by American rapper Eminem. The album was released on May 19, 2009 under Shady Records, Aftermath Entertainment, and Interscope Records. It was his first album of original material since Encore (2004), following a four-year hiatus from recording due to his writer's block and an addiction to prescription sleeping medication. Recording sessions for the album took place during 2005 to 2009 at several recording studios, and Dr. Dre, Mark Batson, and Eminem handled production. Conceptually, Relapse concerns the ending of his drug rehabilitation, rapping after a non-fictional relapse, and the return of his Slim Shady alter-ego.

One of the most anticipated album releases of 2009, Relapse debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 608,000 copies in its first week. It produced three singles that attained chart success and has been certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. The album received mixed reviews from most music critics, who were divided in their responses towards Eminem's lyrics. "Hello" is the third single by the Japanese recording artist Aya Ueto. It was released on February 26, 2003, as the third and final single from her first studio album, Ayaueto.

Overview

The single was released in two formats: the limited edition, which includes a bonus DVD featuring the music video for "Hello", and standard CD-only edition. "Hello" was written and produced by T2ya, marking their third consecutive collaboration. CDJournal described the song as a "lyrical and melancholy ballad." Initially, the song "Ambition", which appears on Ueto's first album Ayaueto, was set to be released as the third single. However, "Hello" was chosen by Ueto instead.

In addition to the title track and its instrumental version, the single includes three remixes. "Hello (Symphony Modulation Style)" was used in commercials for the Lotte ice cream Soh, starring Ueto.

Chart performance

"Hello" entered the Oricon Daily Singles chart at number 6 on February 26, 2003, and climbed to number 5 the following day. It peaked at number 10 on the Oricon Weekly Singles chart, with 22,994 copies sold in its first week. The single was in the chart for nine weeks and has sold a total of 40,555 copies.
