Heavyweight (MMA)

The heavyweight division in mixed martial arts (MMA) generally groups fighters between 205 and 265 lb (93 and 120 kg).

Although many ambiguities exist within the lower weight classes regarding division naming and weight limits, the Heavyweight division is, for the most part, uniform. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and most other North American MMA organizations such as StrikeForce (defunct), King of the Cage (KOTC), and Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC) abide by this interpretation to their 206–265 lb athletes as heavyweights. Some international organizations such as Dream (defunct) and the Pride Fighting Championships (defunct) start at 206 lb but do not have upper weight limits. Pancrase's heavyweight division was 199–221 lb (90–100 kg) before being revised to its current 206–265 lb (93–120 kg). SRC's (defunct) heavyweight division used to be 206 lb and above but has since been revised to 206–265 lb (93–120 kg).

The heavyweight upper weight limit, as defined by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and the Association of Boxing Commissions is 265 lb (120 kg).

15th Metro FM Music Awards

The 15th installment of the annual Metro FM Music Awards, which is an award ceremony that celebrates excellence in the South African music industry by honouring musicians who did exceedingly well in their field throughout 2015. The show will air on SABC 1 on February 27, 2016.

The winner in each category will be receive a R100,000 prize for each category they win. Metro FM is investing in musicians building wealth and benefiting financially from their trade over and above the artistic recognition that comes with the MMA’s coveted statuette. This will be the first installment of the award show to include a new category,namely the Pan-African Category.

Nathi and Sphectacular & DJ Naves lead the nominations with five each, followed by Riky Rick and Emtee with four nominations each, and AKA, Fifi Cooper and Black Coffee with three nominations each.
