Heads Up International

Heads Up International is an independent jazz and contemporary instrumental label located in Cleveland, Ohio.

Founded in 1990 by Dave Love, Heads Up International has gained international recognition for its contribution to the world of contemporary instrumental music. In that time, Heads Up artists and releases have consistently landed on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz, Traditional Jazz and World Music charts, and have garnered numerous industry awards, including Billboard's Contemporary Latin Jazz Album of the Year (Roberto Perera's Dreams & Desires), the AFIM's Independent Contemporary Jazz Album of the Year (Pieces of a Dreams’ Love’s Silhouette), a Grammy nomination in 2004 (Yellowjackets' Time Squared), a Grammy Award for Best Traditional World Music Album in 2005 (Ladysmith Black Mambazo's Raise Your Spirit Higher), a Grammy nomination for Best Surround Sound Award in the first ever surround sound category at the Grammys (Ladysmith Black Mambazo's Raise Your Spirit Higher), ten additional Grammy nominations for such groups as Spyro Gyra, Mike Stern, and others, JazzWeek's Radio Programmers Album Of The Year Award for two consecutive years (Jaco Pastorius Big Band's Word of Mouth Revisited and The Word Is Out!), and Gibson Guitar's Best Female Jazz Guitarist (Joyce Cooling). In addition to the awards and accolades, Heads Up artists have regularly captured the #1 slot in national radio airplay.

Heads Up (The Walking Dead)

"Heads Up" is the seventh episode of the sixth season of the post-apocalyptic horror television series The Walking Dead. It aired on November 22, 2015, on AMC, and was written by Channing Powell and directed by David Boyd. The episode reveals the unresolved fate of Glenn Rhee after the episode "Thank You".

Plot

Following the events of "Thank You", the walkers tear into Nicholas' corpse, which is on top of Glenn and dressed in the same colour shirt as Glenn. Glenn crawls underneath the dumpster, killing the walkers immediately next to him as a barricade, and stays there until the next day by which time the other walkers have dispersed. Someone throws Glenn a water bottle; it is revealed to be Enid. He follows her and she tells him she fled when the Wolves attacked Alexandria, and has no desire to go back. She runs off and Glenn loses her.

In Alexandria, Rick interrupts Morgan's meditative bo stick exercises and tells him they should talk later. He then interrupts Maggie who is standing vigil, looking for some signal from Glenn. Rick tells her that he believes Glenn and the others will come back, and that they should take time to think of a way to lure the walkers away, to "do it right" (suggesting he admits the failures of his previous plan). Rick then tears down Father Gabriel's notices for a prayer circle; Gabriel does not challenge Rick but continues posting notices. Rick and Carl give Ron handgun lessons; Carl advises Ron to be "strong enough to wait for your moment" so that his shots will hit their target. Rick lets Ron carry a handgun but won't let him touch any live ammunition. Later, Ron diverts Olivia's attention and sneaks into the armory to take a handful of bullets.

Up Records

Up Records was a Seattle based independent record label founded in 1994 by Chris Takino and Rich Jensen.

Some of the label's best known artists were 764-Hero, Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, Quasi and Tad.

Chris Takino died of leukemia in 2000. The label is owned and managed by his companion, Pete Ritchey. The last update to the Up Records website was in 2007.
