He Is We was an indie pop band from Tacoma, Washington. The band originally was made up of Trevor Kelly and Rachel Taylor as the lead vocalist.
"Trevor and I would see these local bands with these cocky auras about them. They didn't want to communicate with fans or acknowledge them in any way. He Is We gets its meaning from us wanting to be like everyone else. We are so blessed and want to stand with the crowd and make someone go, 'Dude, she was standing right next to me earlier, and now she's on stage.'"
Trevor and Rachel met while working at Ted Brown Music Company, a music store in their hometown of Tacoma, Washington. He Is We initially relied on social networking, using websites such as Myspace and Facebook. In 2009, they were named PureVolume's number one unsigned band of the year. This online presence and the release of an album of old demos in February 2010 led to their signing with Universal Motown Records. Prior to the release of My Forever, He Is We toured with The Rocket Summer. Their debut album My Forever hit number 6 on Billboard's Heatseekers Album Charts. On their website, He Is We says that the start of the band came from "the idea that someone who you pass everyday can influence the rest of your life...and you would never know." In 2013, their song "All About Us", with Owl City was included on The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones soundtrack.
"He Is" is a song by American singer Brandy Norwood from her third studio album Full Moon (2002). It was written by Warryn Campbell, Harold Lilly and Norwood, with production handled by the former two. Conceived during spiritual discussions with Norwood, Campbell and Lilly conceptualized the pop- and R&B-influenced ballad secretly as a soul song as they were keen to hear her sing a religious track, a genre which Norwood declined to record at that time. Lyrically speaking about God in third person, Norwood was unaware, "He Is" was not a relationship song when she recorded her vocals for it.
The song was released as the album's third and final single in September 2002. It received a mixed reception by music critics, many of whom applauded Norwood's vocal performance and the sparse production, but dismissed "He Is" as a weak single choice. Commercially, the track failed to reprise the success of the album's previous singles "What About Us?" and "Full Moon"; while the track failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, it reached number 78 on the official Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. Norwood, who was well into her pregnancy at the time of its release, was unavailable to promote the single or film a music video.
"He Is" is a song by Swedish heavy metal band Ghost. The track was released as the the fourth single and first promotional single from the group's third studio album Meliora.
The song "He Is" was written back in 2007. The band tried recording it for Infestissumam, but after trying to get it to "sound like Ghost" and adding and subtracting aspects, ultimately put it on the shelf. Upon starting pre-production for Meliora they added "He Is" to the list and, after praise from Åhlund, recorded it as it was. A Nameless Ghoul told Loudwire that the lyrics to the song were influenced by the suicide of Selim Lemouchi, guitarist of The Devil's Blood, who was friends with members of Ghost.
The song features a lyric video, and was made by By: Mattias Erik Johansson/Claudio Marino/Nicklas Lindahl. It was uploaded to the band's official Youtube channel in November 9, 2015
Forever and ever.
Forever and ever.
(Forever and ever.)
Home is where you are,
Kind of tragic that I left your side.
Left your side, left your side.
I recall a smile, a kiss.
When the sun did rise,
By your side, I was by your side.
I gotta tell you how it feels now.
You’re my air, when I feel I can’t breathe.
Catching me, when I’m tripping over my feet.
We’ll get through this together.
You’re my smile, when I just want to cry.
Make it all better as you kiss my sad eyes.
I’m giving you my forever and ever.
Forever and ever.
Forever and ever.
(Forever and ever.)
The hug, the kiss, the love.
All the magic that we’re feeling inside,
Deep inside, deep inside.
It’s hard to find the words,
The courage is somewhere inside,
Deep inside, deep inside.
Gotta tell you how it feels now,
I’m ready to fall.
Sat down thought about it today,
If I only had a breath what would I want to say?
Something sweet, something real, something real sweet.
Thought real hard.
And only one thing,
(Only one thing.)
Only one thing,
(Only one thing.)
Oh only one thing, came to me.
You’re my air, when I feel I can’t breathe.
Catching me, when I’m tripping over my feet.
We’ll get through this together.
You’re my smile, when I just want to cry.
Make it all better as you kiss my sad eyes.
I’m giving you my forever.
You’re my air, when I feel I can’t breathe.
(Forever and ever.)
Catching me, when I’m tripping over my feet.
We’ll get through this together.
(Forever and ever.)
You’re my smile, when I just want to cry.
(Forever and ever.)
Make it all better as you kiss my sad eyes.
(Forever and ever.)
