Havoc, Havok, or Havock may refer to:
Havok is an American thrash metal band from Denver, Colorado. Formed in 2004, their members currently consist of David Sanchez (Vocals/guitars), Nick Schendzielos (Bass), Pete Webber (Drums), and Reece Scruggs (Lead guitar). Since signing with England's Candlelight Records, Havok have released three studio albums: 2009's Burn, 2011's critically acclaimed Time Is Up, and 2013's Unnatural Selection. The band is currently working on a new album, which is due for release in early 2016.
David Sanchez's formed Havok with classmate and drummer, Haakon Sjoegren. The duo searched for a lead guitarist by putting up fliers around the Denver area, and local guitarist Shawn Chavez joined the band. Eventually, they rounded out their first lineup with Marcus Corich on bass, and in 2004, Havok recorded their first demo, "Thrash Can". In 2005, they self released another EP, "Murder by Metal". By 2007 Tyler Cantrell had taken up the role as bassist, and Rich Tice on drums. On September 19, with this new line-up in place, Havok released their first self-released EP, "Pwn 'Em All". Tyler's brother Justin Cantrell, also a bassist, replaced him for several tours in support of the EP.
Havok (Alexander "Alex" Summers) is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly in association with the X-Men. He first appears in Uncanny X-Men No. 54 (March 1969), and was created by writer Arnold Drake and penciller Don Heck. Havok generates powerful “plasma blasts”, an ability he has had difficulty controlling. He is the son of Corsair, the younger brother of the X-Men's Cyclops, and the older brother of Vulcan. He often resents Cyclops' authoritarian attitude and reputation as a model X-Man.
In contrast, Havok and his longtime love interest Polaris have had a love-hate relationship with the team, often finding themselves roped into it. Both were also members of the 1990s-era Pentagon-sponsored mutant team X-Factor. After X-Factor disbanded, Havok starred in Mutant X, a series in which he explored a strange alternate reality. He has since returned to the X-Men, later taking over his father's role as leader of the Starjammers to bring Vulcan's reign over the Shi'ar to an end.
i'm evolving upwards, forwards
running, seeing, feeling
i shift from dust to water to dust
in all my grace i'm kneeling
the peace of danger left behind
easliy, willingly, passionately
i comprehend the weakness of my kind
and embrace all the ways i'm confined
i'm awaken by sudden realization
of my pyrrhic victory
can anyone vindicate my creation
or am i nothing but this contradictory
i'm a boulder in a world of water
a petrified statue in rush hour
paralyzed, numb, cold
a king of gravel released from his power
flickering vivid colour schemes
changing from black to white to black
amongst the side-scenes screams
of cold bodies aching to attack
the great prize of life
to vanquish and to be vanquished
a gold medallion in chains
