Story of Seasons, known in Japan as Bokujō Monogatari (牧場物語 lit. Farm Story), and formerly known as Harvest Moon, is a farm simulation role-playing video game series created by Yasuhiro Wada and produced by Victor Interactive Software (acquired by Marvelous Entertainment in 2003, now Marvelous Inc.). Story of Seasons is the first game to be released under the new series title of the same name.
From 1996 to 2013, Natsume Inc. oversaw the English translation and distribution of the Bokujo Monogatari series in North America, where the games were released under the series title Harvest Moon. In 2014, however, Marvelous Inc. announced that the latest installment in the series would be localized by their American publishing brand XSEED Games under the new series title Story of Seasons. In September 2015, Nintendo of Europe announced that they would be handling the European distribution of the first game released under this title, Story of Seasons, which was released on December 31, 2015.
A full moon is the lunar phase that occurs when the Moon is completely illuminated as seen from the Earth. This occurs when the moon is in opposition to the Sun (when it is on the opposite side of the Earth from the Sun; more precisely, when the ecliptic longitudes of the Sun and Moon differ by 180 degrees). This means that the hemisphere of the Moon that is facing the Earth (the near side) is almost fully illuminated by the Sun and appears round (while the far side is almost completely unilluminated).
Lunar eclipses can occur only at full moon, where the Moon's orbit allows it to pass through the Earth's shadow. Lunar eclipses do not occur every month because the Moon usually passes above or below the Earth's shadow (which is mostly restricted to the ecliptic plane). Lunar eclipses can occur only when the full moon occurs near the two nodes of the orbit, either the ascending or descending node. This causes eclipses to only occur about every 6 months, and often 2 weeks before or after a solar eclipse at new moon at the opposite node.
A harvest moon is the full moon that appears nearest to the autumnal equinox on respective hemisphere of the Earth.

Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility (牧場物語 やすらぎの樹, Bokujō Monogatari: Yasuragi no Ki) (also known as Harvest Moon: Tree of Peace) is a farming simulation video game released on June 7, 2007 by Marvelous Interactive. It was released exclusively for Nintendo's Wii console and was the first title in the Story of Seasons series originally developed for the Wii.
The player has moved to an island town that was once enchanted. However, the sacred tree of the island has died, and the island's deity has vanished. The island has lost its connection with nature and its inhabitants don't know what to do. By growing various crops and herbs, tending to and befriending animals, forming friendships, and raising a family, the player can help save the island by bringing its tree back to life.
Using tools more often around the farm, mine, and rivers and oceans, causes the player to become more proficient with them. This allows the player to till more plots of land with one hit, water multiple plots at once, cast to catch rarer fish, or strike a rock or tree with more strength while using less stamina. Depending on how much skill the player has, working on their garden or livestock can take the better part of a day. This is where being able to do more with less effort has an advantage.
Sons and daughters of the dust
Strangers of time and place
For a while your limbs entwine
Holy marriage of the flesh
But I know your ways
Your ways are not mortal thought
Till the day breaks and shadows run
Run away
So shine on harvest moon
Cast your might on the ripening corn
And I look at your life
Hold you in my arms
With all the power in the days of youth
In the fullness of love
Fields run deep in golden swards
Hot summer winds blow through the corn
Cast off your sorrows now you stand
In the presence of the Lord
And your radiance shines
Like the moon of all innocent grace
To know that we dared breathe belief
To love again
(Chorus)
