Harry Nice

Harry Whinna Nice (December 5, 1877 – February 25, 1941), a member of the United States Republican Party, was the 50th Governor of Maryland in the United States from 1935 to 1939.

Harry Nice was born in Washington D.C., but was raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He later attended Baltimore City College, Dickinson College and graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1899. He was married to Edna Viola Amos in 1905, with whom he had two sons, Harry Jr, and William, who died in childhood.

Nice served as assistant to the State's Attorney in Baltimore, but later resigned to run for the Republican nomination for governor of Maryland in 1919. He lost to Democrat Albert C. Ritchie by a narrow margin. Following the defeat, Nice accepted a position in the Appeals Tax Court of Baltimore City as a judge from 1920 until 1924. In 1934, running under the campaign motto of "Right the wrong of 1919", Nice again challenged Ritchie and defeated him by 6,149 votes.

Nice rose to become Governor during the national depression, which brought great financial hardships to the state budget. To help find a solution to the situation, Nice assigned a committee to investigate ways of alleviating the debt, but was not pleased with the recommendations of raising taxes. Neither he nor the Maryland General Assembly felt it would be wise to raise taxes at such a rate. Also as Governor, Nice redesigned the governors' residence at Government House, changing the architectural style from Victorian to Georgian.

Nice (/ˈniːs/, French pronunciation: ​[nis]; Niçard Occitan: Niça [classical norm] or Nissa [nonstandard], Italian: Nizza or Nizza Marittima, Greek: Νίκαια, Latin: Nicaea) is the fifth most populous city in France, after Paris, Marseille, Lyon and Toulouse, and it is the capital of the Alpes Maritimes département. The urban area of Nice extends beyond the administrative city limits, with a population of about 1 million on an area of 721 km² (278 sq mi). Located in the Côte d'Azur area on the south east coast of France on the Mediterranean Sea, Nice is the second-largest French city on the Mediterranean coast and the second-largest city in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region after Marseille. Nice is about 8 miles (13 km) from the principality of Monaco, and its airport is a gateway to the principality as well.

The city is called Nice la Belle (Nissa La Bella in Niçard), which means Nice the Beautiful, which is also the title of the unofficial anthem of Nice, written by Menica Rondelly in 1912.

Únice

Únice is a village and municipality (obec) in Strakonice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of 5.58 square kilometres (2.15 sq mi), and has a population of 57 (as at 28 August 2006).

Únice lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-west of Strakonice, 59 km (37 mi) north-west of České Budějovice, and 95 km (59 mi) south-west of Prague.

Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy

"Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy" is the tenth episode of season 10 and the 149th overall episode of Comedy Central's South Park. It originally aired on October 18, 2006.

This episode parodies the TV series Dog the Bounty Hunter. The episode focuses on a situation involving Kyle Broflovski, his little brother, Ike, Eric Cartman, and the kindergarten teacher, Ms. Stevenson. The episode is rated TV-MA on Comedy Central and TV-14 for suggestive dialogue (D), offensive language (L), and sexual content (S) in syndication.

Plot

Eric Cartman is asked by a hall monitor to go see Principal Victoria. He believes he is in trouble for telling the other boys he made another student sick, but is instead given "authoritah" as the new school hallway monitor. Cartman takes full advantage of his new job, such as by dressing and acting as "Dawg the Hallway Monitor" and by bullying others and threatening them with bear spray. During his shift, Cartman finds a love drawing of Miss Stevenson (the kindergarten teacher) by Ike. After Miss Stevenson receives the drawing, she admits she too loves Ike, and the pair go on dates and even begin a sexual relationship.
