Happy Family (Japanese band)

Happy Family is Japanese instrumental progressive rock band based in Tokyo formed in 1987 with member in musucal circle of university in Tokyo. They influenced by music of Recommended Records type or Zeuhl (which is the music by French progressive rock band Magma), but they also have an influence of minimal music, and are focusing on extremely complex and dynamic rhythm which makes their music unique and original. They stopped their musical activity since the end of 1990’s for 15 years, but they restarted once again from early 2010’s. They are now alive, releasing new album along with attending 1st edition of Rock in Oppsition Japan Festival in 2014.

Happy Family is an NBC sitcom that debuted in fall of 2003.

Premise

John Larroquette and Christine Baranski star as Peter and Annie Brennan, soon-to-be empty nesters who could not be happier about it. But when their youngest son Tim (Tyler Andrews aka Tyler Francavilla) flunks out of community college, Peter and Annie cannot escape the duties of parenthood. Their eldest son, Todd (Jeff Bryan Davis) decides to dump his fiancée only days before the wedding. Their daughter Sara (Melanie Paxson), while having a successful career, cannot find or keep a man and instead socializes with her parrot. If that isn't enough, after Tim drops out of college he moves in with Maggie, a divorced middle-aged family friend and neighbor, and announces that they are dating. Peter and Annie are constantly trying to find time without the kids and their problems, but while trying to maintain a happy family image, they end up involved with their kids more than ever.

The show ran for one complete season on Tuesdays at 8:30pm on NBC. However, the ratings were not up to NBC's standards and the show was not renewed for the following season.

Happy Family is a 2010 Italian comedy film directed by Gabriele Salvatores. It was inspired by Luigi Pirandello's Six Characters in Search of an Author.

The movie was nominated for Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Comedy and Best Production Design, and won the Best Editing award at the 2010 Nastro d'Argento ceremony.

Plot

Ezio is a screenwriter scared by happy endings, who earns his living thanks to an invention of his father. He is going through a creative crisis, until he has a car crash with Anna, who invites him to dinner. Once there, the stories of several characters get interwoven, triggered by the decision of the 16 year-old Filippo, Anna's son, to get married. Dinner's attendees become the characters of Ezio's new screenplay, but they will try to interfere with his work.

Happy Family (simplified Chinese: 过好年) is a Singaporean family-themed Chinese drama which was telecasted on Singapore's free-to-air channel, MediaCorp Channel 8. It made its debut on 19 January 2010 and ended on 16 February 2010. This drama series consists of 20 episodes, and was screened on every weekday night at 9:00 pm. This drama was a series in response for Reunion Dinner, which is a drama also set for Chinese New Year.
