The Company was formed by Leonard Polonsky, an American, in 1970.[1] It was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2006 in a £357 million flotation which generated £99 million for its founder.[2]
Operations [link]
The Group is organised into two activities:
- International life assurance: provision of life assurance services primarily in the Far East, Middle East, South America and Africa (business based in Isle of Man)
- European life assurance: provision of life assurance throughout Europe (business based in Republic of Ireland)
