Reception

Allmusic awarded the album 3 stars stating "All in all, an excellent offering from an undisputed master". On All About Jazz John Kelman said "Jones is as elegant here as always. While totally steeped in the mainstream, he manages to buck convention in the subtlest of ways... Familiar? Yes, but with a sense of adventure that retains a freshness and undeniable sense of discovery".

"Hanky Panky" is a song written by Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich for their group, The Raindrops. It was famously remade by rock group Tommy James and the Shondells, who took it to No. 1 in the United States in 1966.

Composition and history

Barry and Greenwich authored the song in 1963. They were in the middle of a recording session for their group The Raindrops, and realized they needed a B-side to a single, "That Boy John." The duo then went into the hall and penned the song in 20 minutes. Barry and Greenwich weren't particularly pleased with the song and deemed it inferior to the rest of their work. "I was surprised when [Tommy James version] was released," Barry commented to Billboard's Fred Bronson, "As far as I was concerned it was a terrible song. Abercrombie & Fitch is notable for using "brand representatives" (previously called "models") for store customer service. Its main competitors are Aéropostale and American Eagle Outfitters. Abercrombie & Fitch has been the subject of controversies including allegations of discrimination, preadult sexualized ad campaigns, and promoting an elitist attitude on the basis of looks or social status.

History

Founded in 1892 in the Manhattan borough of New York City, New York, by David T. Abercrombie and Ezra Fitch, Abercrombie & Fitch was an elite outfitter of sporting and excursion goods, particularly noted for its expensive shotguns, fishing rods, fishing boats, and tents. In 1976, Abercrombie & Fitch filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, finally closing its flagship store at Madison Avenue and East 45th Street in 1977.

A.F. (band)

A.F. is a punk rock band located in the canton Valais / Switzerland.

Biography

The band was founded in 1992 and was first called Allpot Futsch. There have been no changes to the lineup. In the beginning, A.F. was only known in the local region of Naters and the Oberwallis (German for: upper part of the canton Valais). The first edition (500 copies) of their debut album Now you have the salad was soon sold out and a second release had to be pressed.

Four years later on February 3, 2001, A.F. published their second studio album named till the end. In July 2003, the third studio album parcel from hibernation was finished. A.F. - Songs on Snowboarmovies with several 10,000 copies, as well as parts on different national and international samplers increased the band's publicity.

The band made the biggest step forward in 2005. A.F. had the exceptional chance (for a European Band) to have their new album not alone be produced, recorded and mixed by Ryan Greene (producer of NOFX, Lagwagon, No Use for a Name ...) at the "Crush Recording" studio in Phoenix, Arizona. Brad Vance at the Red Mastering Studio in Hollywood took care about the sound mastering.
